Thai Hot — Restaurant in San Antonio

I have been comin here for years and had assumed I had left a 5 star review a long time ago, but I guess I had not so here it comes.

This is hands downs the best Thai food I have eaten. I have been coming here since 2020 when I first discovered this place and I have not been disappointed. From the Pad Woon Sen to the Nam Tok soup to all of the curry food. I have not found anything that was not extremely tasty. Just a warning though, the spice levels are not what you’re normally used to, which is not a bad thing. If you like spicy food, like me, probably start off with a medium. This is my spicy heaven and when I get a craving for spicy food I come here and I’m never disappointed. I haven’t been brave enough to go the hottest level but the medium to hot levels are pretty good on spicy. Great service and staff. I remember the very first time I ordered it was around Christmas time and closing they also gave me some chicken noodle soup and wrote merry Christmas on the to-go containers. The staff are super nice and helpful. The establishment is clean and I love that they play acoustic guitar music on the tv. With it being a home in the wall it’s just a nice place to come visit without it...

I've eaten here several times for dine-in and takeout. The food comes out very quickly and is always absolutely delicious. The soup of the day that they bring out with lunch specials is always very good. So far I've tried several different noodle dishes and currys. Everything has very strong flavors, and they will make you very spicy food!

Anything above mild is probably too much for most people, but there are few restaurants that give the option for very spicy food, so I appreciate that.

I'm vegetarian and really like the tofu here, but my meat eating friends are always very happy with their meals as well.

The woman working the lunch rush remembered us after one visit. She comes around often for refills and such. The service is excellent.

So now that their are new owners I will be giving new review. So based on my repeated order which consists of the following Shrimp summer rolls and Chicken Pad thai So I always get the shrimp summer rolls and I always get extra peanut sauce on the side and the chicken pad Thai. So with the old owners each roll had two shrimp so the entire order came with eight shrimp. Which is two full rolls cut in half. The new owners have reduced that by four shrimp and there are only a total of four shrimp in the entire order so each roll only has one shrimp versus two. Considering that the dish consists of mainly veggie and that's the only protein it is somewhat disappointing. Also the peanut sauce container was downsized and is a lot smaller than what was previously given. The spice level is more intense. I usually go with medium and their...
