THIA REVIEW IS FOR FRIED HARD
Horrible costumer service. Tonight i wanted to try this place out i’ve been coming to 3 ✩ for a while and loved Quest Kitchen but this is the replacement so i was excited to try something new. I was headed over from a concert and it was already almost 1am (when their kitchen closes) i went onto their instagram and placed a order through the website that way they could get the order started and not have me order 5 minutes before close. As soon as i placed the order i received a text to go pick up a buzzer. I informed who ever messaged me that i was on the way to the bar but was not there yet and that i would be there soon. The response i got was extremely disrespectful and passive aggressive especially for someone who’s just starting out. I don’t see this place lasting long especially with this type of response to their clientele. The wings were okay which is why i gave 2 stars, the flavors were good (but limited, not even lemon pepper available) and the wings were small, could fit in the palm of your hand. I definitely would love to give this place another shot but i just can’t support small businesses that have...
Read moreMoving to San Antonio, I’ve been searching for food that connects me to my Puerto Rican roots—and Bucan Rodeo absolutely delivered. Nestled outside Three Star Bar, their pop-up setup offers chill vibes, shaded patio seating, and the irresistible aroma of something special cooking up.
Chef RJ & Mike blend the soulful depth of slow-cooked Texas BBQ with the vibrant flavors of Puerto Rican cuisine in a way that feels both fresh and familiar. I ordered the 1-meat platter with brisket, three tostones, and two sides: arroz con gandules and habichuelas. The brisket was a knockout—perfectly seasoned, smoked, and juicy, with subtle adobo notes that made it melt in my mouth. The tostones and sides hit me with pure nostalgia, reminding me of my mother’s cooking.
At $22 for brisket ($18 without), the portions are generous and well worth it. I also tried the lechón pinchos—smoked on a skewer and glazed with sweet BBQ sauce. It was my first time having it this way, and as a fellow Puerto Rican, I can say it lives up to the hype.
Huge thanks to Chef RJ & Mike for bringing this fusion of flavors to San Antonio. I’ll definitely be back to explore more...
Read moreThree Star Bar is such a great place to hang and grab a drink with your pals. And I am so glad they have Fried Hard in the kitchen. I used to be at every Fried Hard pop up and I am so happy they have gotten a spot to serve at. Three Star and Fried hard are a perfect march. Fried hard truly is the best wings in San Antonio. Any one who says otherwise doesn’t know wings and does not know that perfection takes time. Nobody sauces and fries wings up like Fried Hard. If you’re lucky enough you have to try the jerk wings and jerk fries. They don’t just fry hard...
