Read moreThis restaurant is what I call a "blink and you miss it!" LOL! It was certainly highly recommended and did not disappoint. They offer outside dining but beware of the pigeons!! đ We all had the spinach artichoke dip (AMAZING, MUST-TRY), steak kabobs (accompanied by potatos, onions, tomato, & some sort of cilantro dip). We all tried the steaks & their house fries (thick cut potato slices like potato chips but soft fried). I recommend asking for the potatoes in a basket or on a plate that separates them from the juices the steak excreted. I'm not one to complain if my food touches but by the time you get to them, they sop up all the oil đ.
Everything was delicious & our server was so sweet and efficient. Food was well-timed and nice and hot. We ended our meal by sharing the bourbon pecan pie (not my fav bc its topped by chocolate chips that overpower the star in my humble opinion) and house-made peach cobbler. Again, I have a critique that the crunchy crumbles they put in it saved the cobbler for me bc im a crust lover and theirs was a little too soggy for my liking but those crunchy bits kept me eating!! They serve both with an optional side of delicious vanilla ice cream. (Not sure if it's home-made, blue bell or what, but was very good.)
COVID RESTRICTIONS Don't recall of masks are required but we did wear them to our table. Warning that the restaurant is very small therefore the tables are not socially distanced. If it were at capacity, you would be almost rubbing elbows with the next table. I'd recommend eating outside or maybe ordering to-go if you're covid-weary! Tables were cleaned and sanitized before we were seated.
Warning to people needing handicap accessibility. There are very few handicap spaces right next to the entrance. Theres a parking lot next to the restaurant under the bridge but it IS a short walk to the door. Also the side entrance would be the most accessible. Inside wouldn't accommodate a wheelchair very comfortably but it's manageable or again, outdoor dining would be recommended. I suffer from debilitating psoriatic arthritis, so I always think "could I get through here with my crutches/wheelchair?" đ€ .....can't wait to try it again! I think I'll go for chicken fried...
Read moreUnfortunately we had a nice family dinner ruined by the staff and kitchen here at this establishment. We experienced multiple major issues . We had a table of 7 adults and 1 toddler. Everyone ordered and food was all hit and miss. The chicken fried chicken had a sour taste. We had a plate of steak and shrimp and the plate had a hair cooked into their food. When we finally addressed the obvious issue, all they said âoh Iâm sorry, we can make you anotherâ. Unfortunately that remade order came after everyone else at the table had finished their food and only after another family member had to ask that same manager the status of the replacement plate. During the whole time of waiting on food, our server tripped on her way up with our drink refills and fell to the ground spilling drinks on herself and someone on our table. That same person that also got drinks spilled on them, jumped up to help the server and make sure she was ok. During the whole incident of the fall and the spills, other staff rushed over to help her up as well, and briefly mop the spilled drinks. No one apologized or offered napkins or paper towels for the one at our table that was soaked with wet sticky drinks or even checked in on that either. Despite all those occurrences, upon check out, the server or whomever was responsible for running credit cards, erroneously checked out one check for another and they ended up being charged for both checks. Not once did they come in and warn us before running the card a second time, they just said they canceled it but there will still be a hold of $99 for the wrong check, plus his original check of $58, so with the weekend during the time, thatâs at least a 4-5 day turn around for a refund on the $99. The food with the hair wasnât ever acknowledged again, no compensation for the delay, the hair, the spillage, the long wait for the replacement, or even the wrong charges on the credit card. Just a very insincere apology for the charge. We will definitely not be returning. The food was mid and prices pretty high for average food. Lots more options...
