Always so beautiful and clean! Their maintenance program is really wonderful and work so hard especially when families make a horrible mess for others to clean. A group of several mothers and their multiple children joined the gorgeous Splash Pad area and left their area a mess. Littered the area with tissues and napkin pieces soaked with water. They let their kids throw it all around and it was disgusting. Not only was it littering, and unsightly, but it could easily clog the pipes for the Splash Pad area and then no one would be able to enjoy. I called the Pearl number and they got me in tough with maintenance. Then a very polite worker, William, came and picked up their mess all while they watched and did nothing. Nor did they say anything to their children for making the mess. I felt so bad for William, offered my help and even a cold beverage but he said no and just did his best cleaning up after this horrible group of people. Not ONE of those ladies said anything to him and just watched as he picked up their mess. Yes, he is a worker for maintenance but it is NOT his job to clean up after someone else's mess as they watch. Thank you William and the Pearl for keeping this iconic location so beautiful for all to use. Those who are grateful and for those who obviously are not. (The pictures are of some of the mess before and after and of the women walking past him and acting like...
Read more“The Pearl”, or The Pearl District in San Antonio is a great place to stop by. The City Bus tour has this as a stop on the route, so make sure you stop here. Everything from the historic Hotel Emma, which is absolutely beautiful, but expensive (they let you walk through and see it even if you aren’t a guest), to the brewery, to the outdoor water/table/relax area, which carry’s free wifi, to the indoor food court, or even how about the bakery if you don’t want to do the food court? The bakery has food as well. It’s a peaceful, chill area to read, work on your laptop for work, homework or leisure, or to just sit and people watch. If you get hungry or thirsty, you’re covered. If you want to browse some shops, you have that option too. Maybe you just want to walk around and soak in the historic buildings and elements around you? It’s a place you’ll want to stop and cross of your list as having been there, and you’ll likely want to make...
Read moreThe custodial staff is unfortunately something to be aware of here. We took the kids to the splash pad and they (witnesses say older woman)cleared our stuff behind our back, threw our freshly ordered food and drinks away and took my cell phone(while leaving my diaper bag and other items) At first, no one had my phone but after about an hour, i suddenly got my phone back at the main bar AFTER we called and started to ask questions. We called security just to find out the Pearl has no idea how their custodians work or how to contact them. They told us they had no way of contacting security or custodial. This is unacceptable in my opinion after working in an international mall myself, we knew everyone by name for security reasons. After they realized this ,then my phone suddenly appeared at the bar after they said they didnt have it. Shady all over for...
