Hello I am usually the type of person not to write bad reviews. Being that this is my first review I'm writing for a restaurant. Which means yes this experience was so bad I had to write a review. I had bad experiences and I usually don't bother. Because hey no one is perfect why should I judge when I'm not perfect. I guess constructive criticism is ok. But for this experience at Wok Inn I'm really disappointed. The service was good at first I would tip the drivers really good. Until this one skinny guy ripped me off and said a price I was supposed to pay when he delivered and I tipped him good. Then he gave me the receipt and he left and I found out he made the price more expensive than it actually was. I think he was trying to rip me off to get the extra dollar but I guess when you're low on money you become too desperate. Then this one girl didn't give me all my change back but I don't know maybe she was confused. Then I ordered food and deep inside there was a pubic hair, arm pit hair, and who knows could be from a brush. I doubt it was from a brush. It wasn't mine. It was really gross I threw up. I'm also stupid from ordering restaurants I don't trust people handling my food. Why do I do it? Lack of discipline I suppose from not wanting to cook. Anyways I called I didn't even eat all of it. I asked if they can take it back. So they would know I'm not trying to get out of paying food for free. The girl on the phone said they couldn't do a refund but next time when I come back I can get food for free. I'm like yeah like I want to eat from there again. So I just asked for another one since yeah the best I could do. So later on got over it until it happened again. I don't know who in back if they have mental problems, or don't wash their hands properly. But not everyone is a potty mouth and if some are maybe only to certain people. I'm really upset because I have let this place get away with so many things and I tip their drivers really good, and this is what I get. Getting scammed, and pubes in my food. I know they may hate their job. But at least you work in a job where's there is air condition and you have a job. Some people are really suffering and workers who give horrible service just cause their miserable with their own lives. Think for once and be grateful you are making money in the first place, be strong, patient, think how you want to be treated. Respect the customer because their money is paying you and live life to the fullest as possibly as you can. I'm sorry but I'm giving this Wok Inn a one because I let them get away with a lot of things. And I feel like I'm being taken as a joke. I will never eat here again. I know it's the cooks faults for the pubes. I think I'll quit all restaurants for health reasons. Also I know eating out you're most likely coming across, sweat, and hairs. And I didn't even think about it until Wok Inn opened my eyes. Thanks Wok Inn for making me more...
Read moreBeen eating at this Wok Inn since I was 5 and this location is not only the original but the best in all of SA. Been all over the world with the bulk of it in the West Pacific Region. This Chinese/Asian food is hands down the best I've ever had. The amount of whiny people leaving negative reviews boggles my mind. Some are due to not them not paying attention to detail themselves such as, the customer orders at the register vice sitting down and awaiting a server. This has been the way they've done business since 1985. The venue could use some modernization, but the food absolutely makes this location the best of all Wok Inns. All locations are owned by the same people but the Grissom/Timber Path location has the best food and preparation. If there is even a burned grain of rice the manager "Young" or"Ms. Lee" will force the cook to discard it and prepare a new dish. The meet to good tasting and tender Asian/Chinese food is cooking fast and hot. 2.5 minute cook times is what makes this place a huge success. All you can eat soup (Hot&Sour, Egg Drop,Chicken Corn Chowder) crispy noodles and rice is not found at any other restaurant that isn't buffet centric. Their egg rolls are hand made daily from scratch with fresh vegetables along with their signature plum sauce that even Golden Wok stole the recipe, overcharges for it and still doesn't even come close to. Every single dish is cooked to order and yet I saw a person whining about it. This is not your run of the mill Americanized Chinese Joint. If you're looking for over battered Orange Chicken and sesame Beef, this place isn't for you. Take your A$$ to panda express for that overpriced garbage and get cancer. If you're looking to get a side of fried rice with your entree you can absolutely get it, but you will not get to enjoy the exquisite flavors of their ala carte fried rice (Protein additions vary). A side simply can't capture that flavor. What I can guarantee you is, WOK INN uses only the best ingredients to include STRICTLY all white meat chicken and up until recently only prime sirloin steak, but due to the rising costs of beef had to shift to a lower grade beef to keep prices affordable for us frequent visitors. They even apologized for it. Although it's still good they were disappointed to not provide premier ingredients, because that's the type of people they are. Recommend kung pao chicken with extra vinegar, Mongolian beef, moo goo gai pan, beef and broccoli, crab Rangoon, corn.chowder soup, beef fried rice, chicken low men, beef mushroom and signature wok inn beef. Ask for Artie, Young, Ms. Lee, Michong to prepare your meal if you're looking for the closest flavor that is intended. I assure you, you will not be disappointed! Disregard the reviews that aren't valid. One reviewer actually complains about every place he goes if that says...

They are cheap what is the problem? Important for taste. Cashier is always super friendly. We ordered walnut shrimp and the waitress brought out a plate drowning in sauce. She noticed it and commented on it but didn't care enough to fix it. My daughter couldnt even eat it because everything was soggy and unappealing. The rice looked like soup. The food was literally falling off the plate because of all the sides and how badly it was plated. (See pics) Waitress should have said something to cook. But she didnt care she also gave us a plate of panda express fortune cookies that were crushed and opened (see pics). Staff should care about good service. My daughter ordered the chicken chop suey and got shrimp. The waitress took it back to change it and then her and cook started arguing about it loud enough where we could hear it. We get the chicken chop suey and there is nohing but huge peices of onion, celery mixed in with a few mushrooms. The couple of pieces of chicken that we did find were white, slimmy and just gross. We have ordered it before so my daughter was looking forward to it. This place has gone down hill. I'm getting bad food more often than good. If owner is seeing decline in profit its because of inconsistencies and poor food quality. If you bring back food to former glory everytime, I would gladly pay more. But for me to pay $60 and get gross food, I wont be going back. Sad this was one of my favorite restaurants. We used to spend 80-100 here weekly when it was good.
I have been coming to Wok Inn since the 90s. It is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant. Always flavorful and fresh. Perfect egg rolls and Rangoon. My favorite dish is the beef and broccoli. Now that they have multiple locations, it seems like they struggle with consistency. The original restaurant off Grissom or the one off of Potranco are the only ones I will go to because I've tried several other locations, and they are just not the same. Back in the day 5 stars with the best fried rice. Today, they get 4 because there are times we have ordered to go and fried rice is more on bland side, or soup taste watered down. Still good just not like they had been. This is not usually case...
