Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in San Bernardino

I tried this place shortly after opening and the drive through service was painfully slow. Not exaggerating, I spent about 40 minutes with maybe 5 cars ahead of me. They screwed up a few items in the 9 item order. I figured they were overwhelmed with the grand opening rush and were still getting used to the job. Fast forward a couple months to now... the kid answering the drive through repeatedly came on telling me to wait a little longer, just so he could hand the headset off to someone else. He could have taken my order numerous times over in the time he was stalling, before then next girl was ready to take my order. I order two items, a classic cali burger and 9 piece poppers. Only 2 cars ahead of me, I get to the window and pay. Without giving me my card back the girls says "We're making your poppers fresh, can you pull to the front and turn your lights on? We will bring your food to you." I had to gesture to get my card back before pulling around to the front. I wait about 7 minutes more, receive my food, check in the bag to see my burger and box of poppers, and head home. I open my box of poppers and find only 7 inside. I didn't realize I had to assume the kids here couldn't count to 9. Lesson learned. I wont be going to this location again. The general manager at this location is a RACIST!!! She degraded my mom who went into this location today for not speaking English. She yelled in front of her entire staff and told her she needed to learn English, that “in this country you need to learn English” my mom tried obtaining her name to put in a formal complaint to the district manager and she refused. When my mom turned to the other staff to obtain her name, they all looked away in fear. My dad went in hours later to try to speak to her and obtain her name for the corporate complain and immediately she became aggressive yelling at him, saying “you’re a man, why are you approaching me??” while waving her finger in his face. We have a recording of her being extremely aggressive and have staff members who are witnesses. During this conversation she informed that she had contacted regional managers herself but we think this is a complete lie. I will be contacting Carls Jr. corporate, the regional manager, and a lawyer to present a lawsuit on the basis of discrimination. I will also be contacting local news outlets to warn the Latino community about this RACIST establishment. I just stopped in to this location on my lunch break and I couldn't have been any happier with my experience! I ordered a burger and soda to eat inside the restaurant and it was delicious, perfectly made, and the two employees I interacted with were both super nice! They also had very clean restrooms, you will need to get a code from the employees for it, but it was a very simple process. Kandyce took my order and a young man took my food to the table, though I don't remember his name (I wasn't paying attention but I wish I was so I could tell everyone how awesome he specifically was too), and they were both so friendly and personable! I went to the counter for some extra napkins because my super tasty lettuce wrapped burger was going to be messy in the best way possible and they both had a little funny banter with me and each other about it. It was nice little moment that you don't always get in a fast food place. I will absolutely come back to this location because the service was so good! I can go to any Carl's Jr and get a great burger, but I can't get top notch service like this location...
