Food quality was quite good for the price. It's your pretty standard quality burger joint that serves Mexican food in socal. I would definitely eat here again if I am in the area.
This would have been a 4 star for me, however what lost George's a star was because I asked at the order screen for extra ranch, ketchup and salsa. When I got to the window and then got my food, I asked again "did you get the extra salsa, ranch and ketchup?" the attendant confidently said yes. Thankfully we checked in the parking lot because they gave no ranch (deal-breaker for chicken Strips) and no ketchup. When I went inside to ask for a ranch that was missing for my chicken strip order, and she gave me a tiny little thing. I asked if I can have another and he looked to her manager wbo told her I was supposed to get the slightly larger one for an order of chicken Strips. We got are normal size ranch, which was very eatery but legit flavor.
They did give us salsas, I asked for both, he only gave 1 of each. I didn't realize this until it was too late (wife only told me about this missing ranch!), but c'mon! For a huge burrito, and a 2 large Quesadillas. For us we can easily use 2 or 3 salsas on a single item, especially the Quesadilla which needed the additional flavor.
Steak Quesadilla - served with sour cream, lettuce and tomato on the side. Generous portion of sour cream. No guac. Flavor and quality of the asada and cheese was good but as usual needed salsa, which we needed to use from home.
Chicken strips - Good standard chicken strips. Fries were yummy, perfect amount of crisp with a lot of internal potato left. 8/10, would order again. Only issue we had was the ranch, which was watery, flavor was on point.
Carne Asada burrito - Ordered with everything including salsa, as asked by the employee at the register. Flavor was good, bean to rice and meat ratio was way too high on the bean side. Was a good amount of spicy. 8/10, would order again, easy beans.
Cheese Quesadilla - served with sour cream, lettuce and tomato on the side. Generous portion of sour cream. No guac. Flavor of the cheese was good but as usual needed salsa, which we needed to use from home.
Cheese burger, no pickles no tomato - was made properly and tasted slightly above average. 7.5/10. We would get again, probably well done with...
Read moreI was visiting from another town and asked who has good pastrami my mother-in-law brought us to George's. Everything about the restaurant was fine. What I didn't care for is that there were no gloves worn in the hands that were touching the food and also touched somebody's face along with the hips of their pants while they waited for the food to get done and other objects. Without washing their hands they proceeded to touch the bread that the person had to eat. So I no longer wanted a pastrami sandwich the young lady told me that they have pastrami fries. So I decided to get those instead. So I saw the guy put the fries in that was fine he put the chili on then also without washing his hands he went and grabbed the cheese after touching some other things and spread it on my fries before putting the pastrami on. I freaked out because I have an OCD when it comes to people preparing my food and not washing their hands or sliding my bread along dirty counters. Due to me visiting I didn't make a big fuss but I did not eat it once I got home. I do wish they would have washed their hands because they gave an abundance of pepperoni I could have made three sandwiches out of the meat that they put on my fries alone. It smelt good and...
Read moreGeorge’s Burgers is delicious in its own right. This specific location is close to my wife’s parents house, so this wasn’t a place I grew up eating at. That being said, it’s a place we tend to get food from whenever we come home for visits. I’ve gotten a cheeseburger and bacon cheeseburger with fries and a coke. The burgers are quite delicious and big. That’s what’s awesome about a place like this is it’s own style of burger specific to George’s. I would definitely recommend getting a hamburger. Fries were alright, the second time I ordered the meal, the fries were a bit soggy as if not cooked all the way or been sitting for a bit. My wife always gets the zucchini fries. I love zucchini fries so I was excited to see how these would turn out. I wasn’t overly impressed by the result. Both times she got them they were way too floppy as in they were dipped in the fryer then removed quickly. I think a little longer in the fryer would make them crunchier and produce a better result. In the end I would recommend giving this...
