I was there 1/27/18 at 630pm to purchase cabinets for my house, along with a combo light/vent/heater for the bathroom, outlets and lumber for studs and roxul for interior walls that need sound and hear insulation. All told it was coming to $1,500 or more. We found all the unfinished cabinets we needed for the project, except the only 60 inch cabinet left was smashed in one end. The facing was good, but structural ruined. someone must have run into it with a forklift. I offered to buy it anyway, as do wood working, these cabinets were just a Time saver. But the manager on duty looked at be like I was filth and then only offered 19% off. I might have taken it if she didn't give be that once over like I was blown in trash, but it would have cost be in labor and product much more to repair than she offered off. Especially considering they are going to zero out the cabinet and dispose of it. This was a chance for their store to sell it and still make some money. So I left, feeling very insulted instead of buying over $1,500 on this one project for one room. All of my walls need new covering, and new insulation. These cabinets were just for the back laundry/work room. I still must replace all of my kitchen cabinets and such and piping, because it's galvanized. I was going to keep going back to this store. After my treatment by her, I don't think so. That doesn't including all of the insulation and siding and roofing for my 1,500 sqft garage and apartment! If the store contacts me, I may reconsider. But after the manager last...

They no longer accept any returns without a receipt, even for store credit I was told as I dripped with sweat from loading and unloading some excess gravel bags I purchased.
We all know that these receipts are unreadable within a couple days and that when people are doing home projects we over purchase items and make so many Home Depot runs that we lose the gazillion receipts! I purchased with confidence knowing that if I ordered too many bags of gravel, sand, or plastic edging I could return the unopened products.
Also, even if you DO have a receipt, if it took you more than 90 days to finish your project and realize you have extra materials, you will only receive store credit.
The store states it is this individual store's policy because they have lost too much money. Well, perhaps if we all go to Lowe's they will really "lose too much money."
If you do a pickup order from this store and check in with the app, it will not work. The employees do not check to see if you've checked in. You must call to say you are there. And be prepared to phone 20 minutes later to remind them you are still outside baking in the hot sun. And probably one more call in another 20 minutes to be yelled at about how busy they are and they already have someone bringing out your stuff. This has happened to me at least 5 times. It's worth it to go to the Hospitality one or even Lowe's where they actually come out with...
Read moreI am all over the different home depots in Southern California, but there are certain people in the stores that definitely stand out and in this one I would say that Lucas at the registers and Amerika in customer services are the two people that to me stand out among allot of other employees. I believe that energy is contagious and the positive energy and enthusiasm that Lucas and America have when it comes to doing their job is something that I don't see in many other stores that I visit. I have been in a bad mood checking out because the store had their online inventory incorrect but Lucas had such a positive energy and something funny to say that I thought to myself "yeah whatever" and it didn't matter anymore. I have also been upset because I placed an order that never showed up and America at customer service managed to help me find an alternative that was in stock saving me a headache. This store is definitely one of my favorite just because of these two awesome people.... thanks to...
