My visit this time was pretty good. I did not have to send back my nuggets or my fries. One of the things that bothered me and this visit though has to do with the cleaning woman in the lobby. She seems to always have her nose into everybody's business she's always complaining about her work or other staff members When anybody is around her whether it be staff or customers. On top of that she takes the trash out by the front door and dumps the bags of trash right outside the door and then leaves it there and goes and does something else. This is not the first time I have seen this. Another thing I noticed that was bothering me about her dealings with the customers is when she stuck her nose into a customer that was getting ice at the soda machine. I watched this customer ask the manager up front if they could get some ice to put in there bucket or their ice chest and they agreed so then when she saw them doing it she runs over right away and says that they weren't supposed to be doing that and you know just not minding her own business. This is not right. I wish she would just learn to do her job properly leave the customers alone, and just be courteous to people instead of always complaining and doing what she wants to do instead of what she supposed to do. Another thing I've noticed during this visit and also previous ones is when the person who was to be at the front counter taking care of the cash register is nowhere to be found. Now today there was a gentleman that came in for an order about 3: 15 and nobody was up there they were in the back talking or around that corner where the screens are and the fries are where they gather up and talk all the time so finally he went over and tried to put in his order on the kiosk. I don't know if the manager was on duty today or who was in charge, but it sure seems like the staff was being run pretty loose and things weren't getting done like...
Read moreMy niece and I are doing an "ice cream challenge" where we visit different places to try their ice cream and this was our first stop. The shop is small but has a few chairs inside and some small tables outside in a shaded area.
First, nice location with lots of parking. Very friendly staff and the guy working answered all my nieces questions about how everything worked.
Second, this is not your average ice cream shop. It is a great experience to see them make your ice cream using liquid nitrogen (I believe this is what they use). It was really cool to see the process.
Third, they have a pretty large selection of flavors for ice cream, frozen yogurt, and sorbet. My niece had chocolate with an addition of dark chocolate chips. It was very good. We would both order it again. I would not add the dark chocolate as I am not a fan.
I ordered the blackberry sorbet. It was very disappointing. I think it should have been "frozen" one more time as it was a bit runny. The flavor was not there. I didn't get blackberry flavor at all. It just had a weird taste and texture, bitter, sour, and chemically. There was actual fruit in it but it didn't look like blackberries at all unless they were completely unripe. They looked more like raspberry or pomegranate. Definitely would not order again.
Fourth, the price was in little high in my opinion for the amount of ice cream you got. For two of their small bowls which is about a scoop or maybe a bit more, it was just over $13.00. The ice cream wasn't worth the price but getting to see the set up and watch them make the ice cream added some value.
I recommend it if you want a different ice...
Read moreThe drive-thru line was wrapped around to the street, so I tried ordering inside. I waited in line inside, with only 3 customer in front of me, for 10 minutes. Witnessing the worst cashier in history, I tried to make it easy on her, with my single order. This is something I purchase every day in South Orange County. She fumbled for a few minutes, and when I could no longer see my order on her screen, (which is how I could tell she was pushing the wrong buttons), she told me to go ahead & slide my Arch card. Against my better judgement, I did, and then it said... wait for cashier to complete my order. She told me it didn't go through. She could NOT figure out how to order finish the transaction and finally requested help from an equally inept cashier. That person then tried, but failed. She looked up at me and said "we don't sell the Large Hazelnut Latte any more." In order to keep my temper in check, I simply walked out. When I got to my office, I checked my Arch card account and not only was I charged for my latte, but I was double charged!!! After being online for a half hour with the McDonalds Arch card customer rep, she told me it's a franchise, so she would have to pass the information on to that owner. I'm still waiting... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER go to this store. Waste of your time & money, and who knows what your food will be like (even for McDonalds). I can't review that because I NEVER RECEIVED...
