I’ve been coming here since they first opened and the wait time was over an hour because they were the only boba place in town. I have recently decided to never come back because of the abysmal service. First of all, my mom and I ordered two strawberry matcha lattes. I attached a picture below of what they looked like as they were handed to us. Keep in mind, these weren’t matcha lattes. These were supposed to be their popular strawberry matcha lattes, and yet there was no strawberry purée and hardly any matcha. The pictures are deceiving and the drink is greener than it is in real life. We essentially paid almost $17 for two cups of slightly sour milk. It was so disappointing and disgusting. We didn’t say anything because we didn’t want to make a scene, and we thought it would be better to vote with our wallets and never return. Additionally, the service was terrible. When this place first opened, even as the lines threatened to wrap around the block, all the employees were on top of their game and were doing their best. They would sometimes literally run around the kitchen trying their best to keep up with the orders. Now, they literally just stand around in the back and talk while the tickets are untouched. Our barista had his friend come around the back and was just talking to her, hugging her, and laughing with her with no regards to the 10 people waiting for their drinks that hadn’t been started yet. When they finally started making the drinks, they would look at the tickets, wander around in a daze, or space out. It was absolutely terrible and never in my life have I been so upset at service workers. Look, I understand that you can’t just shut your mouth and never have fun during work. I myself am a working student. I like having fun at work with friends, but I also understand that it’s work. There are paying customers that are depending on me, and when it’s time to get the job done all the fun can wait. Management has seriously fallen off and I cannot in good conscious recommend anyone coming here. The poor customer service has been an issue for over a year now, but I was able to overlook it because the drinks were still good. Now, the drinks are equally as bad. It’s not worth it coming here. Don’t waste your time and money.

Great location. There’s often a line out the door but it moves fairly quickly, and the weather is often nice out. If there’s something wrong with my order, the workers will right the ship without hesitation. I got an absolutely delicious lavender decaf black tea with oatmilk and no boba. My friend got a sweeter pink drink that was also really good. I feel like anything you get at this store will be pretty good. And the interior decor is great as well. Boba tea at the next level! From standard selective teas to more adventure specialty drinks like matcha and strawberries puree or dirty horchata (horchata +shots of espresso). Be prepared to wait 30 - 45 minutes as they take time to craft the drinks.

This is the third and last time ive been to a Boba Guys. This San Carlos location once, other was in Los Gatos IIRC twice. I went in with the intention to give BG one last shot as I had poor experiences at the other location as well.

I ordered their seasonal caramel milk tea. I received it with ONLY milk, caramel sauce, and boba. Left, took a drink after i got in my car, immediately went back in as my server forgot the TEA. The girl was very apologetic, especially since she was the one who recomended the drink. I can understand mistakes happen. She told me there is no tea in that drink. To which her coworker said "oh my gosh so sorry let me remake that ill upgrade you to a large". Clearly the girl was confused. Anyways, I got my drink, got outside, and realized NOW THE CARAMEL WAS MISSING! At least it had the tea in it this time, but no caramel. I decided to give up on Boba Guys at this point.

Not to be hyler critical, but with SO many similar businesses and competition, you really have to go above and beyond, drinks be perfect, service be excellent, otherwise like me, I will continue to go elsewhere where I know the drinks and service will...

The Strawberry Tea Fresca is a perfect summer boba drink; it's so refreshing. It's a blend of strawberry puree and green jasmine tea. Normally I don't like jasmine tea, but the jasmine tea content in the drink is light enough that I don't get a strong punch of jasmine flavor, so it's perfect for me. You can't customize the sweetness level of it though, or any of the other Specialty drinks. I also tried the Ube Custard Cake, which had a nice light ube flavor and surprisingly no custard filling. It's quite a dense cake, and has pockets of stickiness inside, so it was a bit like a cross between a Filipino puto (rice cake) and a Western cake. Expect a long line at this place, especially during a warm afternoon. Parking can be challenging sometimes since this is right in the heart of...
