The servers were amazingly nice but unfortunately they or the chefs.. literally lost our order after bringing kid meals and the meatball appetizers. They brought kid ice cream deserts without mentioning they were accidentally behind in kitchen so we asked what happened to OUR food and they explained the chefs were running behind due to the big birthday party going on that they had to take care of first. What?!?! Well then they shouldn’t have accepted our reservation or those of others BUT no one else seemed to have suffered our fate. We were enjoying the meatballs feeding the kiddos but when we realized we had been there for a hour after ordering we knew they messed up. What arrived was a soggy not toasted English muffin on 3 breakfast orders.. cold soggy spinach couldn’t for the life of me taste the wasabi in the bland Hollandaise sauce and kids didn’t finish the should have been fluffy waffles but instead were undercooked soft only somewhat crispy on 1 side. Potatoes were fine. Nothing about our meal was noteworthy which had it been would have helped forgive the huge faux pas with order but Stacks had better Eggs Benedict. I never leave bad reviews but was celebrating our own birthday with family and was so disappointed as this place came personally highly recommended! I was even looking forward to trying the paella and other amazingly reviewed dishes but this one visit although may be an exception was absolutely unacceptable. My family didn’t want me to complain just not come back. We paid left a tip but I waited a bit then decided I wasted a good afternoon when it should have been a treat. so all I have left is to say if you see a private party going on maybe...

Thank you, West Park Bistro. Last night, your staff helped turn a failing evening around. My party of 15 had 7:30 pm reservations at Spasso and, after waiting 30 minutes out in the cold, we decided to give up on them. In fact the manager of Spasso was unapologetic and thanked me twice for abandoning our reservation... It was then that your restaurant came to the rescue.

We were/are so grateful for you and the use of your lovely private, wine room. The service was excellent and the food was so delicious. The wine was exactly what we needed to wash away the annoying memories from earlier that evening. We started laughing and sharing stories. Such a great dining experience!

For those looking for recommended dishes, I really enjoyed my pork chop with gelato for dessert. I did notice my sister thoroughly enjoying her rack of lamb and my other sister beaming at her scallops dish. Hope those help guide you.

West Park - thanks, again, for accommodating us and making us feel like welcomed and valued guests. This was an important dinner to celebrate the memory of a loved one who passed away recently. Family members flew out from abroad and the east coast because the funeral is today. Thank you for taking care of us last night. You helped us make some fond memories at a much...

We went here for our date night. We have two small children under 3 so getting out is such a treat. We were placed at this table next to the window which was so lovely. Then out of nowhere about 30 people showed up to sit on the patio outside our table and were blasting techno music on their own iPad. Despite multiple requests to turn it down, this continued through our appetizers until our dinner came and we finally asked to be moved. They moved us to a table in a private dining room that was hosting a large private party who was even louder and far more awkward since we were now basically intruding on these people's rivalry dinner party. We ate as fast as we could and left immediately. No one ever apologized and they didn't give us any discount on the meal. They did try to give us port but we don't drink. It was just awful! As for the food- the dates wrapped in bacon had really fatty bacon around it that was uncooked and not edible so I had to peel most of it off. The filet was way over cooked but the pork tender was pretty good. Such a bummer- We spent nearly $150 here and it was the most uncomfortable dining...

West Park Bistro (WPB) carefully straddles the line between upscale date spot and local family classy dine out. The food is presented in a high-end manner but they all stimulate the taste buds in an honest and straightforward way. The visuals might look extravagant but it really comes down to good ingredients cooked well. The chef certainly aspires high and for the most part, he/she gets the job done. The pastas are hearty, the meatballs are familar yet rich, and the salad is just adequately eventful. WPB can choose to go either way. If they want more families, all they need to do is grow the portions so that they can be better shared across the table. If they want to go for date-night, throw in a bit more salt and flavor and build out an intentional prix fixe course. Either direction they go, we are happy that WPB is in San Carlos and will be returning.

I came here with a large party and everything was just ok. The food looked good, but it wasn't anything spectacular taste wise. Two things specifically aggravated me. The first is the person who the party was for got the worst dish. Everyone's fish looked plump and juicy and hers looked liked someone stomped on it. They replaced it, but that didn't make her feel good. Second, is I have a nut allergy and my ravioli came out with nuts on it. I asked to return it and ther waiter snapped at me and told me I need to read the menu. That really ruined the night for me. I spoke to the manager and explained the situation and he was receptive and my meal was replaced. There are so many other delicious restaurants on this strip so I won't be returning here. For large parties I do really well down the street at Town.

We booked the private room for a special family anniversary party and it was a fabulous experience from start to finish. We planned the event with Jamie and everything was perfect. Despite having a party of 16 we didn't have to pre set a menu which was important to us as we have various allergies and diet restrictions (egg allergy, celiacs, etc.) -- all was accommodated in a delicious and fun meal flawlessly served by Fagin, who made the night feel very festive. We were a demanding crew with lots of substitutions and complicated drink orders and everything was wonderful. It was for my parents 60th wedding anniversary and they haven't stopped talking about how special it was. We will be back!
