Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in San Carlos

This location has been great over the last 10+ (maybe 20+) years, but twice in last 2 weeks I have been very disappointed. Same pizza I have ordered many times before is suddenly much more expensive due to an apparent recent "order system upgrade". A 1 topping XL pizza on promotion sells for $23 while my usual order - a 1.5 topping XL, is now $42 (used to be 30ish).

To get around this new "system constraint" I ordered the 2nd topping on the side, but this Round Table, or at least the new person answering the phone at this location, will not put the side-order ON the pizza, otherwise - "that is technically a 2-topping pizza and must be $42". I guess so.

Frustrated, and not wanting to pay $19 for an extra 1/2 pepperoni, I ordered the PEPPERONI on the side, and received peperoncini instead. LOL. May be time to find a new spot. ...

I dare to even put 1 star. My co-workers and myself (4) tried to get lunch here today and were turned away because there was no place for all of us to sit. No accommodation was given. Just a smiling assistant manger saying "sorry that's just the way it is. Inside dining only". I guess they do not want my money. Customer service lacks. Something could have been done for us instead of sending us away. Maybe this manager needs a lesson in...

New management with Awesome attitude towards customer service. These guys are great better compared to competitors just next door.

I love when I'm made to feel at home, relaxed and no attitude or arrogance when ordering meals, no matter how busy they are.

The owner is very generous with servings and quite flexible in accommodating your taste and comfort.
