9 Style Ramen — Restaurant in San Clemente

I was staying at a nearby dump, uh I mean hotel and was going to try a burger place I saw on the road. I decided to take a long walk to San Clemente pier and grab a bite on the way since it was dinnertime. As I was walking along I saw 9style Ramen and my decision of getting a hamburger was changed. Nice cozy place and many dining people inside having noodles and enjoying themselves. The friendly lady sat me at a table and I ordered a Takoyaki appetizer and what I guess is their house noodle, garlic pork Ramen. The Takoyaki was nice and cooked perfectly. My noodle bowl arrived shortly after and it looked and smelled great! I am not a vegetarian, but I never eat the meat that comes with noodles, except for shrimp. Often the meat has fat and although it's consumed, I just always leave it behind, always. Well in this case I ate everything! The fatty pork was actually grilled and had a delicious charred flavor. The fatty pork which I never eat was incredibly delicious and melted in your mouth. I am quite finicky about fatty meats, but this was a surprisingly delicious accompaniment to the dish. Noodle were perfectly cooked and the broth was exceptional! Absolutely amazing restaurant!!! This place is definitely a hidden gem of San Clemente. My mom came out to visit me (from Michigan) and we are both ramen addicts... throughout the month she stayed with me we had gone to so many ramen places, tired so many dumplings, wontons, buns... you name it and we just couldn’t find that one really stood out to us. Until, we came across 9 Style Ramen. The staff is so sweet, you can tell they put a lot of time and effort into every meal, and the taste of the broth AND the pork is phenomenal 🤩 the pork is always so tender and pairs perfectly with everything in the rest of the dish. Also the pork buns are to die for!!!! I’m pretty in to Anime shows and Korean Dramas, so when I see people eat ramen on TV it always makes me crave ramen... so I will say, this is now my go to place! Though they have a smaller menu, everything on the menu is absolutely delicious! I have recommended this restaurant to so many of my friends because if you like ramen, this is by far the best place to get it at! ❤️ So so so happy we found this...

THE BEST RAMEN. I still can’t believe this place is in my neighborhood. I’ve eaten here so many times it’s getting a little embarrassing. I’ve brought all of my visiting friends and family and every single one has raved about it as well. I know I can hype it up cause it is THAT good. Consistently off the charts fresh and delicious. The meat is perfectly cooked: melts in your mouth w the right amount of fat and the broth and flavors of all the ingredients just blend so well together. Both chicken and pork options are soo freaking good it’s always a tough decision. Love the free green tea too and the appetizers have been tasty, especially the fried chicken. I dig the simplified menu too. All the staff, especially Erica, are fantastic and very attentive and welcoming! Hmm, I may have just talked myself into another dinner...
