You might find the cramped dilapidated ambience cute, but it leans toward dinge and neglect and you wonder about the kitchen hygiene. The waitress, who I think is the owner, seemed annoyed and put-out by my small family. She was rude and unhelpful, with a dour look that set a serious tone of unwelcome over the entire breakfast experience. One of the kids took the lid off the water. She rushed over to put it back on. "That's why I only filled them up half way, so they don't spill," she admonished. She thrust a finger at my menu where it states an extra charge for sharing food. No one was going to share. She jabbed her finger at it again so I'd get the memo, just in case. No words about it, just an impatient stare waiting for the order she'd have to endure. Argumentative with my sweet wife, who looks confused and is just trying to order. Forgot the cheese for the omelet, so the cook sprinkled some on top. "He's Greek, so he wants you to taste the cheese," she says with a warning tone of don't you dare complain cause I ain't going to lift another finger. Do Greeks think melting the cheddar cheese diminishes it's flavor?.... Watched her prepare the take-out orders...slap, slop, bagged...it all seemed so grey, mean and depressing. Over $20/person! and for greasy diner...
Read moreBeware this place is terrible. I almost never leave a bad Review, but I felt obligated to let others know that this place is not any good.
Overall I don’t think this place deserves 1 star.
Chairs- extremely uncomfortable Facility- old out dated not clean, smells Coffee- cheap cold coffee and cheap powder creamer. Cup still had lip stick on it from previous customer. When it was mentioned to waitress, she poured the coffee that was in dirty cup into another cup and handed it back to us 🤦♂️. Toast- suppose to be sour-dough , was cheap white bread.
Hash browns- toasted on exterior, uncooked frozen inside- not eatable 🤢
My $25 omelette with crab was terrible 🤮. When waitress ask if I didn’t like it, I told her it was not good, she said know one really likes that one 😳. I told her hash brown was not properly cooked, she replied that’s too bad, then said I hope the rest of your day is nice. The other 4 family members with me also said their food was disgusting, possibly used rancid oil to cook it. Only edible food was the chicken strips and fries my daughter ate.
Service was poor at best.
Atmosphere - music was outdated. I felt uncomfortable from the time I...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this place totally out of the blue. We weren't sure about it at first, but we checked it out. Wow, are we glad we did!
Our server was extremely kind. She was understanding about three kids at a variety of ages, as well as my husband and me, and she catered to all of us, making sure we had everything we needed.
We were seated in the outside seating, which was a small patio outside of the main building where there are some tables set up. We were worried that we would be forgotten, but that was far from the truth. It felt we were in the main restaurant, but with a better view and fresh air.
The food was delicious, and the portions were huge! All the kids got one of the kids' plates, and they received almost as much food as we did for less than half the price, and they loved it. My husband got one of the omelets, and I got Eggs Benedict. I'm not a food critic nor expert, but, at least to me, they were both delicious.
The only bad thing I had to say about this place was the price of drinks, but everywhere is like that, so it's not even a complaint or a surprise.
If we're back in this area again, we know exactly where...
