Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in San Clemente

I used to think the chipotle in Oceanside was the worst, but this one takes it. I have came here numerous times, always ordering the same thing. White rice, chicken, corn, super simple. The past 3 times I’ve came in the portions have been getting smaller and smaller. Today before going in I told my friend, “how much do you want to bet they are going to skimp on the portion size”, and not to my surprise that’s exactly what happened. 2 scoops of rice and when we get to the protein selection I get a half scoop of chicken. What really put this over the top is the guy serving me is frantically spreading out the food to make it look like there’s more than there really is. I was typing on my phone in between order instructions, but I caught how much he was putting. I asked why he was putting so little and asked that he put a little more. All I get is attitude, and get told I’ll have to pay double. Again the portions have gotten smaller each time I’ve went in, not spending 20$ on a bowl that you can get next door at Panda Express for half the price. Used to work here for two years, I put my two weeks in, ended up quitting the same day I put them in due to petty work drama seems I can't escape. My fiancé went in today, two of the girls who work there Paris Fernando one of the high schoolers with long black hair along with the apprentice Daisy Saravia who both know him, bluntly ignored him, made the both our orders completely wrong. I wouldn't work here again if my rent depended on it. The AC broke almost half a year ago and not sure if they have fixed it but they weren't letting customers even sit in the lobby due to how hot it is. How is that a safe environment to work in? We always enjoy Chipotle. HOWEVER, we were in town for a baseball tournament on July 6-7 and stopped at this chipotle at 1025pm, more than 30 minutes before they closed and they said they were “out of meat”. Huh? Cmon. You just don’t wanna cook more when you close soon. But 30 minutes?! Anyway, we went to McDonalds nearby and thankfully they weren’t “out of meat” too. (Sounds absurd right?) The next day for lunch we went back to the Chipotle on Pico and they were much busier and yet they were out of one of their meats (which in this case I believed) but then we got drinks and they were out of ice. Huh? Their machine wasn’t working. Okay, fine. So I asked to pay in cash but they were out of singles so we couldn’t pay in cash. Felt like we were being pranked. The staff is nice.
