Great place to eat, all around great experience with 1 exception. Parking is packed. The food: first off the menu is very nice offering familiar taco shop favorites, traditional Mexican food, and even some more experimental fusion type options. This location also serves alcohol and it feels more like a restaurant than a taco shop but with the convenience of a taco shop. Plus free chips, this alone makes me want to come back. Oh and the salsa bar has amazing flavor and range of spice level. Service: What stood out was that while the staff was busy making fresh salsa the cook came to take orders with out missing a beat. Everyone working as a team provides great service. Atmosphere: the only issue is parking. Alot of businesses in this area and barely enough parking for one or 2 of them let alone the 6+ business that use the space. The dinning area is a blend of taco shop and Mexican restaurant with some secluded dinning area options and even patio dinning. Final opinion: I will definitely be back and this may take my top spot for taco shops in this area!

We ordered carne asada burrito, Buffalo wings and chicken flautas. They were all tasty. The carne asada was very meaty but a bit tough for me. Wings were a bit small but flavorful. I have never seen chicken flautas look like short fat egg rolls before. Deep fried flour tortilla gave it a nice crispness except there was very little chicken inside. Still very good and interesting. I especially love that they had lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole on side. Very rare do you see this combo of topping. Inside is divided by the bar area and dining area. Looks like a hip place to be after work.

They advertise being open when they are actually closed.... super annoying. The whole point of having an "open" sign is to indicate whether or not you are open for business. They just leave theirs on all the time. If you have a closed sign when you are actually open, it may hurt business. But if you just leave your open sign on all the time it's like saying "We wouldn't have gotten your money anyway, so who cares if you were misled...." I don't trust anything on their menu is actually beef anymore... they just advertise what is convenient for them.

As a UCSD alumni, I've been coming here since the beginning of my Carne Asada Life. It is behind Carls Jr. My Carne Asada Childhood was a memorable one because of places that are genuine hole-in-the-wall juicy carne asada eateries. If I were still living in San Diego, this place would be 4-stars all the way. Now that I have been separated from my one true love, Carne Asada Fries....I have to honestly say that I crave these consistently from this exact place.

-=-Carne Asada Fries-=- Robertos's fulfills most of the necessary elements to create the perfect Carne Asada Fries:

--Thin fries that are not too starchy. --Tasty guacamole. --Sour cream that bring in that unhealthy goodness. --Not drenched in salsa or pico de gallo. --Not covered in filler beans. --Abdundance of cheese. --Spicy hot sauce that you just wanna smother it all in. Ask for the bottle. --Tender juicy thick cut carne asada in every bite.

The only drawback that I can think of is that the fries are not crispy enough. But that's IT! GET IT! EAT IT! Join the Carne Asada...

My coworkers and I have been going here for about 7 years now. There are a few taco shops in Miramar, but this one is a step above the others.

The portions served are plentiful for the price being paid. They could use a little more flavor in some dishes like rolled tacos or beef taco for those looking for a smaller quick meal. The burritos are as big as a forearm!

It's hard to say if the staff enjoy working there or not. None of them really smile or make you feel invited, and the lady behind the counter sounds like she's ready to take a nap at any moment.

As for the atmosphere, it's your typical taco shop. It gets pretty busy around lunchtime, but there is both indoor and outdoor seating. They keep the place pretty clean as well

Overall satisfying and that's why we...
