My wife & I have been coming here for the past 10 years and the quality has ALWAYS been topnotch. Their sushi is always fresh. The albacore sashimi is my go-to favorite. The baked langostino is SO good, along with their lemon roll.
I lived in Japan for 4 years, so I've had my share of Japanese culture and cuisine, and no other place in San Diego has come close to this establishment.
We could sit here for hours, eating & sucking down the sake. The restaurant is a little on the small side considering the amount of business they do, BUT they have an outdoor seating area now, compliments of covid.
The only time seating inside the restaurant actually becomes an issue is on Fridays & Saturdays. The entire neighborhood knows where to find the best sushi in Tierrasanta so it's understandable.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that anyone in the mood for some Japanese cuisine should choose Edamame for their dining experience over the others. There are at least 2 other sushi spots in a 1 mile radius, but they cant compete with the quality here.
The ONLY thing I don't like about this place is that it isn't open 7...
Read moreI literally drove by this place every day waiting to find out the date they were scheduled to open for business and I was there on their first day. I love good sushi and thereâs not a lot to choose from in Tierrasanta when it come to places to eat. This is a small place, very clean and very friendly staff. The biggest bummer is they are closed on Sundays and are only open until 2 pm then reopen again at 5 pm until 9 pm. The sushi is awesome. Very fresh and many different types of rolls to choose from. I rarely order off the menu now, I just tell the sushi chef what kind of fish sounds good and he whips up something tasty for me thatâs not on the menu. This place is popular now especially with the locals so it tends to get busy and there may be a 15-20 min wait but not often enough to steer you in another direction. Parking can be challenging during peak times since this place is located in a strip mall near the post office. Prices are a little high but they do give you quite a bit of fish in their rolls compared to some other sushi places and itâs definitely fresh. Highly recommend...
Read moreI checked out this place soon after they opened at 4PM on a Thursday. There were already customers waiting for their orders. All of the staff were busy and in good spirits, preparing food, answering the phone, cleaning, etc. Itâs always a good sign to see a steady flow of customers and busy staff.
I ordered the soft shell crab, calamari steak dinner (Includes a salad and miso soup, gyoza dumplings, California roll) and a sushi roll called the âex-girlfriend.â Amongst the common sushi rolls they have their house specialties, some with fun names like âhot lipsâ, âheart attackâ, âsin city.â
Everything tasted fresh, prepared perfectly and delicious! The soft shell crab is served whole and the calamari steak was tasty and tender. Personally, Iâd change the name of my sushi from âex girlfriendâ to âmistressâ itâs that good đ
Andrew took care of me and is very nice and professional. I believe Eunice is an owner/manager. She made sure I had enough condiments and threw in a little surprise edamame. Iâm looking forward to trying their...
