Update: still tracking. Looking forward to when this place shuts down. A place with inability to recognize and confer dignity and humanity. Garbage in, garbage out. Karma is my friend.

And no, saying “I’m Hispanic so I can’t be racist” is not a valid point. One of them actually said this! Some of the worst racism, biases etc. I have seen and experienced has been from individuals who happened to be Hispanic/Latin.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Ridiculously overpriced. Horrible service from DAY 1 (I was foolish to go even to DAY 2 after that). I have some ideas of why this might be but hard to prove. There is only seating outside and looks like cobbled together fifth hand tables and chairs (sitting outside in cold I am pretty sure pushed me over the edge with flu, then was bedridden most of next 5 days). Tables outside dirty. No restrooms (sorry if you need to be near a bathroom, clearly not a place that cares much for diversity or inclusion). Pastry options lacking and not fresh or look just from local convenience store, again crazy prices.

Was hoping just to get a smile with my order. Not even a cursory greeting. Again this has been since setting foot. Was virtually ignored and treated like something on a conveyor belt. Getting treated like a second class citizen, nice!

I am sure you will see sarcastic (and confrontational with sickeningly arrogant undertones) comments in some response from a manager on this, not the way mature professional people behave. I’ve been here many times and I was going to write a review and read the previous review from “dr mini me” and I just wanna say that I have been greeted kindly every instance I have come into this coffee shop. Even during the peak of their rush hours, the employees greet the customers adequately and put care into making sure every order comes out how it was intended. I’m gonna direct the reminder of this review to “dr tiny pee pee”: no one cares how much money u make and how much u pay in taxes. From what I read from your review, you come off like an entitled, miserable person and I am toning down my words so that this review doesn’t get taken down. It sounds like the employees u refer to were being courteous and letting you know that your order may take a little while to make given how busy the store was. If you have such a hard time of dealing with people just because you have some absurd expectation of how service workers need to be treating you, maybe do everyone a solid and just make your coffee at home, I’m sure their store will do just fine without your business. I really recommend this shop to everyone, I usually get quad shot lattes and they make it perfectly every time. This review is long overdue for a place that’s often a highlight of my day. The drinks are consistently good, with my favorite being the badass. They also have great housemade flavor mixes to add to your coffee at home. The best part about Industrial Grind, though, is the staff. Everyone here is so warm and seeing them always brightens my day.

As a response to Shannon’s review, my husband and I were actually the couple that she thought the staff was mocking. They were referencing us talking about our socially awkward dog and how she’s just like us. We know everyone here really well and are totally fine with them laughing about us and our weird pup.
