Today was our first time there. The man who greeted us was very pleasant and the place was very nice. After we sat we were given menus and ordered accordingly. No refill on sodas but ok we can always get water..no biggie. It took almost 30 minutes after we ordered to get our food. We both ordered clam chowder and it was nice and hot with bread. It was tasty but it didn't have to many clams in it so that was disappointing but still very good flavor. My husband ordered fish tacos I ordered birria tacos. We both rated them a 3. So our issue was waiting. Service was very slow and the place wasn't crowded. We watched as our waitress chatted with co-workers and took so long to get to us. Finally we were able to ask for our bill, took a long time to get that, then we waited and waited for her to come pick up the check, I had to flag down another worker who gave it to her, then we watched as she was again conversing with her co-workers not ringing up our bill. Now my husband and I pride ourselves on tipping well, even if things don't always go right, some times its just noones fault just a crazy with crowds and workers calling in sick. We can overlook that, especially me as I worked in restaurants. But our waitress was just not attentive to us at all. The food is a bit pricey, but the portions were generous. I usually give restaurants second chances. I dont see us doing this here. We tipped her $12.00 for a bill that was $82.13. We would have given her $20.00. I hope she was just having an off day and this doesn't...
Read moreThis is a completely honest review based on my experience. I personally liked the place and would enjoy coming back. First thing first, I am a person with a wide taste in music I can listen to anything but I personally did not enjoy the very loud spanish symphony that played for over an hour , i had a hard time hearing the bartender standing right in front of me. The food smelled great but I actually did not have any food i only felt like having some drinks at the bar. I do not recommend coming here for more than 1 drink unless you don’t care how much you spend, the drinks are 12-17 dollars and beer isn’t much cheaper, any other place beats those prices but the drinks do taste great and the bartender I had had (Luis) had excellent customer service. The temperature was a bit stuffy it seemed like the AC was having issues and I don’t know what the problem was with the plumbing in the bathroom but if I had walked in there after eating I would’ve puked. I had about 4 drinks and my bill was around 70 dollars. Take that as you will. In conclusion this is a good place for a bite to eat or a drink but if you want a similar/better experience at a rational price point consider one of the many other...
Read moreWe finally had a chance to check out this place after a morning walk at the beach. No wait at all in the AM. Breakfast menu offers a lot of excellent options. I went for the culichi omelette and the avacado toast. The omellette was delicious the shrimp were cooked on point and the culichi green sauce was tasty. It was accompanied by rice w/ corn and a greek urugula salad. Next time i will totally subtitute the salad for beans imo. Just for balance to the dish and add bacon..( as i added from my daughters plate)😂 💣some flour tortillas would have gone well with it too.. the avocado toast was ok. Good presentation but The sourdough bread could have been a bit more butterly toasty/crunchy to give more flavor. 😛 My daughters had the french toast with fruit and pancakes with bacon strips. Prices were decent and will definetely come back for lunch and dinner.BTW props to waiter he was great and very attentive👊 I got my eye and that tomahawk steak next time.😳👍enjoy this new unique...
