If you're craving an unforgettable Filipino street food experience, Eskinita in San Diego is a must-visit. From the moment you arrive, the energy is palpable, lively music, the aroma of sizzling meat, and the warm welcome from staff make you feel like you've stepped into a bustling night market in Manila.
What truly sets Eskinita apart is the interactive dining experience. Each comes with its own charcoal grill, allowing guests to cook their skewers to perfection. There's something incredibly satisfying about hearing the sizzle and watching the pork belly, longanisa, and isaw caramelize right in front of you. It’s not just dinner. It’s a shared ritual that brings people together.
The food itself is phenomenal. Every skewer bursts with authentic Filipino flavor, from the sweet savory glaze on the BBQ pork to the rich umami of the beef pares. The ingredients are fresh, the marinades are spot-on, and the variety is impressive. Don’t skip the ube ice cream for dessert. It’s the perfect cool-down after the heat of the grill.
The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with friendly staff who treat you like family. Whether you're Filipino or just discovering the cuisine, Eskinita offers a genuine taste of the Philippines with a twist of DIY fun. It’s more than a meal, it’s a celebration of culture, flavor, and community.

Read moreHoy! (point with your lips) Eskinita in San Diego. It’s like my taste buds just went to a party and didn’t want to leave! First up, Goto – it’s like a warm hug from your Lola, but with beef tripe and ginger. Toss in some crispy chicharon and garlic, and BOOM! You’re in comfort food heaven. Then we got Pork SiSig, bro. It’s like the pork version of a rap battle: sizzling hot, full of punch (thanks to onions and chili), and topped with an egg like it’s ready to drop the mic.
Pork BBQ on a stick? Oh yeah, it’s the BBQ you didn’t know you needed in your life. And don’t sleep on that Hotdog BBQ, Filipino-style, grilling like it’s at a BLOCK PARTY.
Kwek Kwek? It’s like a quail egg got dunked in batter, popped on a stick, and said, "Let’s go!"
And if you’re feeling EXTRA, Pork Isaw (aka grilled pork intestines) is straight-up for the food adventurers, the daredevils, the real ones.
Eskinita's got everything, Pare! Come hungry, leave happy, and probably with a food coma....

He was only cleaning up after a huge party left. He was very approachable, customer service was impeccable and made us feel like family.
