El Sabroso Taco Shop — Restaurant in San Diego

First time coming to El Sabroso, didn't order much, one order of 3 rolled potato tacos, but they were good. The order just includes the tacos, no rice or beans. They're topped with guacamole, shredded lettuce and cotija cheese. If you're hungry, this might not be enough, so consider adding a side of something else, or getting the 5 taco order. Will definitely come back and order more. They had a sign outside that they were only accepting cash, due to their system being down. Walked across to 7/11 ATM, and when I came in to El Sabroso, they had another sign saying they also have Zelle. Would've liked to know they had Zelle, vs having to go to the ATM. The food is a hit or miss here. It can be absolutely delicious or downright disgusting. They definitely reheat days old food and serve it to you, there is no other explanation for how the food tastes other than that. Food used to be very affordable but it’s getting very pricey lately. Not sure how much longer I will eat here, it’s getting cheaper to make the same food they serve here at home than to eat here. Otherwise the atmosphere is nice and I have personally never had a problem with any of the workers; i have friends that have had issues though. For the most part the service is nice though. I just wish the meat was always cooked well. You never know with this place, meat can be burnt, raw or perfect. If you like to gamble, you might like this place....

One of the worst experiences, they started off well when they first opened but went downhill fast, they constantly get your order wrong and if you comfront them about it the cook gives you a nasty attitude I had to watch her make my food thinking she was going to put something in it. When I finally got home to sit down and eat (for the second time) I realized halfway eating my burrito that the meat was RAW, yes you read that right apperintly I wasn't paying enough attention to the cook and both my dog and I ended up getting sick because of it.
