JJ Sushi & Pho — Restaurant in San Diego

We stayed in Best Western Americana hotel Jun 1, 2023 and JJ Sushi & Pho was the 1st meal we had driving from Elk Grove. We have stopped by Panda express to get supper beside the Pho soup called Pho Special. I've ordered 2 orders and brought them back to the hotel. 1st of all.. no pictures. I mean when I opened the bowl (to go), I knew it's going to be grand. I mean, the bag was heavy so it was obvious these soup are really loaded. Again, there are no pictures but I could hardly breathe and I still had leftovers. We discovered layer that we still had chinese food from Panda Express but for supper but we knew we wasted money going there. That's how great the Pho soup special is. I've been looking for a Pho place close to the Otay Mesa boarder, and JJ Sushi & Pho happened to be less then ten minutes away, which is perfect for any half hour or hour lunch break to pick up or dine in. I ordered the Pho Special #1 that comes with three different meats and it was very full-filling, because they load you up with meat. I also ordered a spoon of ice cream as well which was a dollar something, and I was expecting them to bring out a plain spoon of ice cream in a little bowel, but they came out with two spoons of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate and caramel syrup across a square plate, and it looked great! Honestly so good! Prices are little higher than other places, but considering its location in San Ysidro, it's pretty good. There aren't other Asian Fusion or sushi in this general area unless you cross the border or drive to Chula Vista.

This is a family owned business store. I went on a Tuesday after work. There was 2 to go orders and one party in front of me. There was a wait mostly because there was only one person doing sushi.

I ordered the Olive Roll, Won Ton soup (2 orders and not pictured, I ate it so fast), Spicy Garlic Edamame, and crab cheese rangoon. Everything was so good. The won ton is probably the best soup I've had down on this side and pretty close to being better than most other Chinese food places up north.
