Just left Fillipii's Scripps Ranch. Never used to have any issues in there however the last two times I have visited Alex has copped an attitude with me. I was in there twice in the last week, the first time I came in she wasn't even behind me bar but chose to comment on the fact that I wanted a custom margarita from the active bartender saying I always wanted the top shelf and wanted a happy hour price on it. Tonight from the beginning she was unpleasant again and when I saw that she wasn't making it the way I would like it and pointed it out she immediately got unpleasant again. I told her that rather than dumping it out my friend would probably drink it to which she responded that's fine but I'm either dumping it out or you're paying for it which I said was fine. By the time I was ready to cash out she had made several other negative comments in my direction and when I said something to my friend about her attitude she asked if I had a problem. I responded yesterday you have been very unpleasant to me the last couple of times I have been in here and closed out my bill. As I was leaving she was continuing to complain about me to the other patrons in the bar and asked me not to return. At that point I said that I would make sure and let ownership know about her unpleasantness and could comment in depth about her behavior. I really hope this review reaches someone that actually cares about customer service. I have never asked for a deal or preferential treatment there other than to ask if something was on Happy Hour. Really unfortunate experience and Alex needs to take a good, long, hard look at the way she treats people. If ownership would like to reach out to me I would be happy to elaborate further on my last couple of experiences with Alex. ...
Read moreThis place is an absolute dumpster fire. To start with, the place is so dimly lit i had to use my cell phone for light to read the menu. We were seated in the bar area. Apparently this is where they thought 4 small children should be sat. We had to listen to 3 stumbling drunks (it was 2pm on a Saturday) bad mouth conservatives in a barely coherent rambling laced with 4 letter words.
Our waitress, who looks like she ate 3 waitresses on her way to our table, was extremely rude. She acted as if we were a burden, and was extremely short in and sarcastic in her answers. When asked by a 9 year old girl if they had fettuccine, she rolled her eyes and said "it's on the menu". That eye roll was probably the most exercise this miserable walmartian has seen in the last 7 years.
The food was on par with something you'd pick up from the freezer at 7-11 and heated up in a food truck microwave. Literally. Our pasta was microwaved. Cold in the middle, scolling hot on the outside, dry and flavorless. The pizza was probably the heaviest non Chicago slice I've ever had. The dough was about an inch think, under cooked, and greasy as hell. The kids spit it out.
I've no idea how this place has a 4 star review. My guess is the regular bar flies with their dulled drunken palates think the food is amazing. Personally, I think you'd have a a hard time distinguishing the taste of this food from the flavor of a door handle in a public restroom.
If you're thinking about coming here just lick a sidewalk instead and have a fat women talk down to you. It will be a better experience and you'll...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to dine at Filippi's Pizza Grotto Scripps Ranch in San Diego, California, and I was absolutely blown away. I'm from Dubai, and I've eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world, but Filippi's is truly something special.
The first thing that struck me about Filippi's was the warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated in a classic Italian style, with brick walls, wood accents, and cozy booths. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they made me feel at home right away.
Of course, no review of Filippi's would be complete without mentioning the food. The pizza is absolutely incredible. The crust is thin and crispy, the sauce is flavorful and tangy, and the cheese is gooey and delicious. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had.
In addition to the pizza, Filippi's also offers a wide variety of other Italian dishes, such as pasta, lasagna, and chicken parmesan. I also tried the spaghetti and meatballs, and it was equally delicious. The meatballs were tender and juicy, and the spaghetti was perfectly cooked.
Overall, I had an amazing experience at Filippi's Pizza Grotto Scripps Ranch. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Italian meal.
I also wish that Filippi's would open a branch in Dubai. I'm sure that it would be a huge success. The people of Dubai love Italian food, and they would appreciate the high quality and deliciousness of...
