Incredible. I had a hamstring injury that has stopped me from playing and competing in the sport that I love for over 6 months. It has caused me to fall behind others in terms of skill and physical conditioning. I went to many other physical therapies and I barely noticed any improvement. However, when I went to Renew Physical Therapy, everything was completely different ; from the service, to the results. My experience with other PT's were not so good; they often spent 80% of the hour fully completing exercises and the rest of the 20%, less than 15 minutes, cupping my legs then waving goodbye. On the other hand, My PT at Renew, Aaron, actually spent a considerable amount of time with his patients, evaluating their injury and discussing issues with the patients. He didn't waste any time doing the exercises, he just made sure that my form was correct by having me do them only a couple of times. Most of the time was spent making diagnostics and providing suggestions to how I should make the routines or other specific tips regarding my injury. I followed the routine that my PT gave me and he explained that he is confident that it will work due to all the evidence that supports the routine. It was absolutely astonishing that after the time frame he gave and completing the exercises exactly as he predicted, the injury was 99% healed, just like it was never there. I do not know what I would have done without the excellent service that was provided to me here. Through the caring services, wanted results, and friendly diagnostics and attitudes, Renew Physical Therapy deserves a 10/10, completely different from other physical therapies out there. I write this knowing that ANYONE can read this and I’m exposing sensitive information about myself. But I also write this remembering how alone I felt with my issue until pelvic floor physical therapy with Renew Physical Therapy. And that suffering alone due to shame is also what keeps knowledge about this so contained. I had been unable to have intercourse for so many years, thinking it was “just me.” When someone told me to talk to my doctor about pelvic floor physical therapy it was shocked that such a thing existed. Dr. Sarah assured me that what was happening with me wasn’t uncommon and that often women and even doctors didn’t know that pelvic floor physical therapy existed. I worked with her and over time I was finally able to have intercourse. Anyone experiencing this knows that it felt like Renew Physical Therapy performed a miracle. Growing up I couldn’t even use tampons without experiencing pain (which Dr. Sarah says is one of the indicators as well). Pap smears were horrifying. I didn’t tell my doctors about this most of my life and just suffered by myself with this because I was too embarrassed. My experience with Sarah Shaw was the best! I cannot believe I got my issues sorted out, which at one point thought was impossible to do so. Sarah is very talented, patient, caring and nurturing. Despite my therapy being online, she made sure to put all her efforts into correcting my issues. Which eventually did work! Sarah always motivated me to stay on track with my stretches & exercises also made sure to put those strong words in her email responses! Speaking of which, she is very prompt and detailed in her emails. There wasn't a point where I felt like I was alone in my battle against my physical troubles. She was always there for me via emails if when not via the zoom meetings. Other than that, I have a tendency of using spiritual/psychological terms to explain my physical symptoms. This was very well received and understood by Sarah. It only proves her and Renew's ability to be flexible with the jargons patients use to explain their symptoms. Finally thanks to Avery, I never missed an appointment. She made sure to always remind me a day prior with a call as well as an email.
