JULEP Venue — Restaurant in San Diego

The minute we walked into JULEP, we knew it was our venue. We had our wedding there 8/17/24 and everything about it was PERFECT! Starting with the set up- it truly is a blank canvas that you can do so many different things with. We worked with Heather to go over lay-outs for the ceremony, the reception, how best to flip the room when the guests were enjoying cocktail hour out on the patio. While we had a guest list of 150, you could easily fit more without it feeling too crowded. The attention to detail and working with our other vendors was all so seamless.

Snakeoil makes the BEST cocktails! All of our guests made comments about how great they were, and how little they had to wait in line for a drink, since Julep will set up satellite bars pending your guest count and the main bar is spacious and efficient. We served their version of the Paloma and the Eye of the Tiger, but the options were almost too good to narrow down!

The location is perfect for those coming in from out of town. You get to show off San Diego and be close to downtown and Little Italy, all while having privacy at the venue. Plenty of bathrooms, beautiful private rooms for bride & groom (or meeting rooms) and parking as well for vendors and guests.

Again, could not have picked a more perfect place for our most perfect and important day of our lives....

We held our wedding at JULEP Venue and it was such a great experience! From the planning to the actual wedding itself, the JULEP staff was friendly, responsive, and professional.

Throughout the planning process, Heather and AnaVictoria were our point of contacts and they were quick to answer all our questions. We are located in Los Angeles so the planning could have been difficult, but the JULEP staff was flexible and made it as easy as possible. They also used a collaborative online planning platform that allowed us to design our wedding layout and the team executed it perfectly on the wedding day.

Having toured multiple wedding venues, JULEP itself is a rare find in San Diego. It's conveniently located near the airport and downtown for out-of-town guests (with plenty of parking!). Its interior is modern, sleek, and clean, which perfectly fit our desired wedding aesthetics. It comes with a cocktail cater (Snake Oil Cocktail Company) so you know the drinks are quality!

We had our wedding at Julep last month. The venue is beautiful with ample parking, numerous bathrooms, and an amazing indoor space. This review would have been 5 stars if not for an unfortunate issue that arose right before the beginning of our ceremony. An incorrect number of seats were placed out, around 30 seats short of our communicated and agreed-upon guest count. Our guests would not have been seated if not for our coordinator convincing the venue to add additional chairs (that originally should have been placed on the ceremony floor).

Other than the issue with the number chairs, other aspects of the day were smooth and went according to plan. Though the chair issue did not result in any ceremony changes, it just left a bad taste in our mouth with how it was handled. We weren't given a proactive apology which was disappointing. All that said, Julep is an awesome venue with a very professional and responsive staff. It was a great venue to host our wedding, the aforementioned issues just left a bad taste in our mouth. 3.5 stars (rounded up due to the many positives...
