This was a very unsafe and disappointing stay. The AC unit in our room was full of visible mold, not only on the filter but inside the housing where the air blows out. At 3 AM I woke up with chest pain, nausea, chills, difficulty breathing, and a severe headache. Our daughter also complained of a headache, stomach pain, and extreme fatigue. We did not feel better until we turned the AC off, covered it with towels, opened the window, and stepped outside for fresh air. When I reported this, the front desk staff were dismissive and not apologetic. Maintenance came to inspect and confirmed there was mold inside the unit. We documented the entire inspection on video and with photos. This was a serious health hazard for me and my family. Despite clear evidence, the hotel refused to issue a refund. We are now pursuing further action through the proper channels. I will not return here, and I strongly warn other travelers to reconsider staying at this property.

I had to move hotels because my first hotel had a lot of issues. I decided to stay here instead. I showed up pretty early and stressed because of the previous hotels issues. During check on Eli was extremely friendly, said it would be about 30 minutes before my room was ready. About 15 minutes later he came over and said he decided to upgrade my room type for me. He did not have to do that but it’s made my vacation a whole lot better. The room was amazing with great views of the skyline and the sunset. The shuttle to the airport was a nice added touch. I will never forget the kindness or friendliness of the staff there and will be staying here in the future. Shoutout to Eli for going above and beyond

I luckily had set deadbolt on door. One of the guys at the front desk (the younger one) tried to rush in on me. I was inappropriate at the time this happened. I immediately called the front desk and the clerk at the front desk apologized before I could say anything. He stated it was an error on a delivery! That would have sufficed except the clerk that tried to rush in was still waiting on the elevator outside my door. Room 322. How did the phone clerk know there was an error when the guy doing the delivery hadn't gone back down to the front desk to tell what happened. I know the reason he tried to rush in, but I'll keep that private. Let the stories begin. Other than that this place is perfect.

I stayed here one night for business. I was meeting a client at the hotel and they were very helpful with allowing us to use the lobby while my room was still being prepared, as I arrived well before check in time. I am a Platinum Elite member, and was pleased to then be able to check in early and receive an upgraded room. I must say the King Suite with the hot tub is an awesome room. My first impression beyond the excellent layout of this room was the cleanliness. This room was absolutely spotless! I’m not sure when this hotel was built, but this room looked brand new it was that clean!

Everything was comfortable, the bed was great, a wonderful hot tub, even a nice patio to sit on and enjoy the outstanding weather. I was able to order food and have it delivered to my room, not having to make a trip to the lobby to get it.

Shuttle service was very prompt and efficient. I called from the airport and they originally told me maybe 20 minutes, but it wasn’t 5 minutes and the van was there for me. They were also very accommodating in taking me right back to the airport when I needed to go back.

The only area I found lacking at all was breakfast. And it might be ok for some people depending upon your tastes. I happen to not like sausage and there was no bacon. There was also no Strawberry yogurt, the most common flavor, only tons of raspberry and cherry, which apparently people didn’t want and had built up. The i]cinnamon rolls were dried out. So, I wasn’t impressed with breakfast.

But overall, everything else in this hotel rates a 10 from me, and I rarely give a 10. I would have loved to stay and just relax here for several days! If in this area again, I will...

We stayed Jan. 2024 for 8 days. I would give it a 7 out of 10. The king bed was comfortable, room was adequate. Housekeeping was not consistent. Towels or hot drink cups were not replenished etc. Breakfast was very disappointing. The same egg omelet, and sausage every day. Oatmeal was reheated every day, okay, but sometimes it was scrapping the bottom of the pot. Brown sugar was hard as a rock. Only tiny cups of yogurt. Hard boiled eggs were hard and robbery. Would run out of hot water for tea or coffee and only sometimes a brand of tea other than the cheapest brand. I complained to the front desk but it didn't change. Laundry was expensive at $4.00 for 22 min. wash and the same for drying. Didn't dry my cloths consistently at 45 min. Had to put in another $4.00. I looked behind the dryers and the exhaust tubing was smashed and crinkled up. A fire hazard. Very poor installation. The onsite market was nice, but very expensive. They said welcome to San Diego when I mentioned how expensive, but I bought the same merchandise elsewhere for a lot less, and at a tourist location. The best feature about this hotel was the free shuttle to Old Town where you can get any kind of public transportation, bus, train, trolley.. If it wasn't for that feature we would have stayed somewhere else. Drivers of the shuttles were always friendly. They have 2 large vans and a Tesla cybertruck of all things. We were picked up in it once. But generally it didn't seem liked by the drivers. The hotel will only shuttle you down to the cruise dock if a cruise is in port. I imagine the same for shuttling to the convention center which they advertise they go. No upgraded room for being an IHG...

We only live an hour away from this hotel, but an early morning flight with a toddler made an overnight stay a good choice. Then we returned after midnight, and once again thought staying overnight would be a good idea. We were able to leave our car there for 14 nights, and took advantage of the shuttle service provided leaving for the airport. Upon our return, the shuttle was not available after midnight (which we knew in advance), so we took a taxi back to the hotel. The hotel rooms are spacious and well appointed with coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast is very much appreciated, and there is a big variety of food choices, including a fun machine that makes pancakes! The lady taking care of the breakfast room was super friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and well stocked.

When we returned after our vacation, it was VERY late, but we were greeted by very friendly folks at the desk, who even managed to track down some milk for our little one. We were staying in a two-room unit with our family and found ourselves short a couple of towels in the morning, but the desk staff got towels to us very quickly.

My only complaint is that the sofa bed is not very comfortable! The bed in the guest room was just fine, but the pull-out bed left a lot to be desired. We were very tired, so we actually slept fine anyway, but you could feel the bars and the mattress was pretty thin and not very soft.

Overall, this is a great place...the friendly service, location and amenities make it a fairly good value in a high priced summer destination (San Diego). I am sure we will stay there again...
