Nothing special about this place. I ordered the beef shawarma and it was terrible. The beef was tough and seemed low quality, it was overloaded with an odd sauce that isn't traditional (probably cheap alternative), served in aluminum foil which I accidentally bit into (ouch), the pita bread tasted super cheap, it was overloaded with pickles not characteristic of any shawarma I have ever had, and the list unfortunately goes on. I love shawarmas as it is one of my all time favorite meals. I eat them from all over the place. If I see a sign, I eat a shawarma...This is the first shawarma I didn't like, and to top it off they charged me $1.50 for a can of soda. I have no idea how this place has good reviews. Steer clear. You're better off trying to cook your first meal or having your toddler do it. Just make sure to add too many pickles, grisly grade D beef chunks, half a bottle of cheap dressing, a little lettuce, and whatever you can find edible...
Read moreI brought my friend (originally from Lebanon) here because he's always going on about how hard it is to find GREAT Lebanese food here in San Diego. From the moment the food was placed in front of us, he was hooked. He assures me the quality is every bit as good as can be had in the more upscale restaurants and loving homes of his native land. I don't think a better assurance can be given. I've eaten there a few times, endeavoring to try something new each visit. Everything has been delicious, fresh, healthy and enjoyable. The atmosphere is simple, clean, pleasant and un-rushed - perfect for digestion and amenable for conversing. I'm beginning to give up chain restaurants due to the amount of processed foods and additives franchises require. This is a better option in all ways! Thank you for providing such a wonderful option...
Read moreI've been here several times with a friend of mine who knows the owners. On this occasion I ordered their vegetarian plate which has included falafel, hummus, dolmas, spanakopita and Lebanese salad. In the past I've ordered their chicken and kofta kabobs with salad. Their prices are very reasonable here. $6 for a salad and $4 for a kabob. The atmosphere is like a family owned diner from the 90's, with pictures of the Mediterranean around the restaurant. The owners are vary nice with the wife taking orders and her husband doing the cooking. Most items vary from $5-10. Great place for a healthy,...
