I shopped around for barstools for a few months. After enough time went by, we ended up going with this business because price and quality seemed to be a good deal. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Our 4 custom barstools were around $1300. We were told it would be 2 weeks, even though on the huge sign in the front of the store, they advertise it being in under a week (Smoke & Mirrors). They offered us loaner stools which I agreed to and would just drop them off the day they told us they would be ready. It took almost 2 months to get the final product. When I purchased them, I was given a specific day that they would be ready and marked it on my calendar. I scheduled my work in that area and waited for a call. About 3 o’clock rolled around and they never called and I had to leave the area. I finally called them and they told me they were not going to be ready for pickup for another couple days. I had the loaner stools loaded up in my truck and had to drive back to Miramar during rush hour traffic to drop off the stools, which costed me lost work time. Note to Managnent, don’t tell customers that the product will arrive a certain date if you don’t know when it will arrive yourself! Finally I got a call days later that they were ready, we picked them up, took them home, and opened the first box and the “Powdercoat” was horrible, it was stained and chipped, and the the fabric was cut poorly as well. The glides (pads on each leg so that the floor does not get damaged) on the bottom of the stools were installed by their warehouse and were falling off as well. We did not even take the time to open the other boxes. We brought them back, they said they would address all the issues and call us when they arrived... A day, a week, a month.... who knows? When they were finally repaired by the factory, they were then shipped to the warehouse to put the glides on the bottom of the legs. They again, let them cure for a day which is how long they said the glue needs to sit and dry for, then delivered them and the pads were still not glued on. One came off and ruined my carpet with a black glue stain (see photo). The delivery guy didn’t even care or apologize. Also the fabric was cut poorly showing foam through the seams. They wanted us to keep the stools as is and did not even offer money off! What a joke. We refused delivery and they brought them back to the warehouse and on their 3rd try did it right. This 3rd time costed me a whole day of sitting around waiting for 2 separate deliveries on a Saturday that I had plans to take my family somewhere for the day. The fact we were not even offered money back really makes me mad. By the time we got the stools it was almost 2 months when it was supposed to be 2 weeks max. They damaged the carpet, and even told me they wanted me to keep them after the original delivery which would have destroyed our brand new LVP flooring. Completely botched our...
Read moreWe have a problem room in our new home. It's too small to double as a guest room and an art studio--or so we thought. With a Murphy Bed from Casual Dining and Bar Stools, we now have a very comfortable and accommodating queen size guest bed when guests are here, and a studio with a great work table and storage space the rest of the time. And it looks terrific, all of the time! While we were at the store, we also browsed the rest of their merchandise, and found the perfect barstools for our kitchen island. They have choices of metal, choices of upholstery, and choices of stool height in a hundred different styles. In retrospect, it would have been surprising only if we couldn't have found the right barstool. We also had a problem with a small dining area. It wasn't the right size for a big table, and too informal for a typical leaf table. We found a great table with fold down edges that accommodates 4 or 6+, has a classy granite lazy susan inlaid in the center, and under table storage. We walked out a little lighter in the wallet, but had completely outfitted the holes in our new home. John was great help. He was informative, low pressure, and had just the right amount of enthusiasm. We were able to browse unbothered when we wanted, and he was right there to help when we needed. He also helped insure that the delivery and installation was seamless, the products had the right extras to prevent hardwood floor damage, and we got a cruise out of the deal as a bonus. Kudos to Casual Dining and Bar Stools. ...
Read moreFirst Purchase - I highly recommend Casual Dining to anyone looking to purchase quality dining items. Six months ago I purchased 3 Amisco Bar Stools that I absolutely love. The gentleman that helped me with my first purchase was new however, he was very friendly and able to assist me with my purchase. I did share with the the gentleman that I recently put hardwood flooring throughout my house and my only concern the cap on the legs of the stools scratching my floors and he told me they would be fine. A month or so later I called the store to inform them I was having issues with the caps and my floors and with light scratches but no major damage. Within a week I was mail new caps.
Second visit/Purchase - I entered the store on 11/23/18 to purchase a small dining room set for a narrow area. I am one of those people that feel everything has to match. I originally wanted a glass table and chairs to match my Bar Stools. This visit I dealt with Andrew who was extremely knowledgeable with product and interior design. Andrew offered me a few suggestions and put them together right there on the floor. I again shared my concerns with the legs on the chairs and share with him the felt I placed on the caps. Today I received new felt pads for all item. I have to say I am extremely happy with both of my Purchases and would highly recommended Casual Dining & Bar Stools to anyone looking for quality and excellent service. Thank you Andrew for the time you spent with me to make a...
