Mariscos El Titanic — Restaurant in San Diego

Kids Menu Pretty underwhelming options Ordered breaded shrimp and fries, it was two shrimps with a LOT of fries that were not good and not warm. From my experience with other restaurant's kids menu pretty underwhelming. Understandable since the place feels more catered to adults.

The food I ordered had good flavoring to it. I ordered shrimp though and to my personal taste, I did not enjoy the shrimp not being deveined. I could feel the texture of the shrimp's digestive tract as I ate it, it felt sandy and I could not finish it.

The drinks were not really good at all. As someone else mentioned, they were bitter and felt watered down. Not the agua fresca refreshing feeling one should get at all.

The prices were normal of any Mariscos place averaging 20$ per plate. But because of the shrimp not being deveined and the drinks being bad I wouldn't be prone to coming back.

The waitress was pretty kind seemed a bit short tempered at times, which could also be a bit understandable. Since the music was so loud she didn't hear what I had asked so she asked me in a bit annoyed tone to just order. I might be nitpicking there though but it was worth mentioning. They took a bit of time taking our orders and getting the stuff out too. Which again could be overlooked if it came with a better food experience. Overall not a favorite place by far, but passable in last...

To whom this may concern buyer beware .I use to love this place until the cashier's got on scandalous behavior.went in on the 17th of November for a over priced shrimp cocktail of 17.00$..payed by my debit card.To discover and, find out next day into two days later 3,000+dollars was withdrawn from my account .the lady had my atm for to long aswell as others.please be safe pay cash here.my bank account was withdrawn in a span of 2days at 3 different atms in San diego.this business will be under investigation thru my bank because this establishment was only place I used my debit card .it's so unfortunate and sad you have to rip off your own customers who give u honest business.especially in time if covid pandemic .Shame on your cashier and business. Customers seriously beware .this is a red flag situation...A over priced shrimp cocktail shadey cashier tendencies an 3,000+ dollars missing from my account hours later!!!! The shrimp cocktail was not worth all the trouble they gave me. .the elderly mexican lady should be fired and I should receive a lifetime of free food here..for dishonest fradulant workers handling cash ...they lost there 10 stars with me . Warning all family an friends in neighborhood about this place!!!! Check your bank statements an activity after you make a purchase here and slide your card ..because this could happen...

I truly hope the owner reads this review and takes it into an account. I'm a foodie who's been in the neighborhood for a couple of years. There's a lot of good food around here but finding something great is challenging. Mariscos El Titanic have so much potential for greatness! They have an interesting menu that's unique around here, quality ingredients, generous portions, great service. But for some reason the magic just doesn't happen in the kitchen. I guess it's either the cooks not being passionate enough for great food or the cooks being restricted by less than stellar recipes. Please consider hiring someone who would revamp the way the same dishes are prepared with passion and pazaz! A bit more salt here and there, a bit more crunch, a bit longer grilling time. This place is so close to being able to serve great food people would travel from adjacent neighborhoods for. But as of now the cooking is just not there. I hope to give them my wholehearted five stars review soon. That greatness is right at...
