Paik's Noodle - Hong Kong Banjum SD — Restaurant in San Diego

Just keep in mind I came here on a Monday at 6 PM so we didn't have to wait for a table or battle for parking. This parking lot was not turned into a paid lot try. It's where Chorus and Hive are. It's still fairly new so the menu is slightly limited. We saw photos of dishes on the wall but were told they were not available until next year. The jjajangmyeon was slightly watery. I got the "meat" one so there were strips of grilled pork. My husband got the "spicy" one which was green chili on top. It was not crazy spicy according to him but it was not that painful spicy. We got the chili shrimp and I really liked that. It was crispy, fried jumbo shrimp over with sweet chili sauce on a bed of cabbage. It had enough heat making your lips feel some heat. I liked it even though it's not a fancy dish. If I don't have to come on a busy weekend night I'm down to come back.

Oh just be ready to order on really slow tablets but your order gets through as long you're patient with the tablets. The tables are far enough where you feel like you're not on top of each other like at other...

The spicy chicken here is to die for! I stumbled across this new restaurant when another restaurant I was going to add a wait time so I decided to eat here and then it was a great decision. it was me and my wife each got a entrée and a appetizer each. I got the beef soup and the spicy chicken. Both were phenomenal. My wife got the sweet chili shrimp and the stirfry noodles with some extra spice added to it. I was able to take a bite of each one of her items, and those noodles were so good. They just opened up so the waiter said their men is gonna have more items and they’re gonna have a full bar and karaoke at this location. Can’t wait...

The first time I had Paik's jiamppong, it was in Torrance in a HMART food court. Safe to say, it did not leave an impression on me so I would avoid it. Coming here, it has completely changed my mind. Their jiamppong is hearty and delicious. Filled with seafood and veggies, I usually get the regular jiamppong and sometimes the meat version. The meat version has tons of beef on top. Service is great, and they check up on you regularly to make sure everything is ok. Ordering is easy, done on a tablet so you do not have to wait for a server to come take your order. If I am ever craving jiamppong, this is the place...
