It has been quite some time since I posted a review. But, Mr. Bill deserves 5 stars. What a legend! The amount of care and knowledge he is able to drop in a short amount of time is AMAZING! I had the pleasure to visit this man in his shop again after more years than I want to own up to. Lol. He's busy!!! But at no point did I feel rushed or unimportant. I'm a new... again, bowler and didn't have all the finer points of how technical modern bowling is. Well, Mr. Bill does. He knows all the new balls and how to lay them out to fit your game. I'm super grateful I got to watch him work for a little while. If you need new equipment or help with your old, do yourself a favor and go see this

For context. I drove an hour to San Diego and arrived at SDBS not long after he opened. We talked for a few minutes, and he had my hand measured, and 2 balls drilled all in time to head back north before the traffic started. Oh! He installed my JoPo no problem!

My 4 year old has shown an active interest in bowling since her grandparents have been taking her. She's requested her own ball so naturally the wife was on the hunt for a bowling supplies shop. Bill's place is perfect! Bill is definitely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient when it came to us making our daughter's first purchase. The ball we ordered through the catalog came right when he promised. I would highly recommend any bowlers looking for a one-stop shop check out...

Came here for my first ball and will continue using Bill's shop for the rest of my bowling needs. He has a good selection, and if he doesn't have what you're looking for, he's willing to order it for you without a hassle.

If you're looking to get started, I highly recommend SD Bowling Supply. Getting your stuff ready doesn't take more than an hour especially if you have an idea of what you're looking for. But if you're completely fresh, Bill has no issues showing...
