If never visited, this place is not easy to notice from the outside. There are several different things inside since it is all one building. The way to best direct yourself is by an outside patio with tables they have and the entrance is on the side. Also the building number indicated on the top of the building. Upon entering this place, it seems spacious yet seems to get a bit crowded since the tables are close together and mostly fit two people. When I arrived, there was a small line and the guy who took my order was really chill. I did have to wait quite a bit for my drink for only having a couple people ahead of me. I ordered the sesame iced matcha. This was actually pretty creamy, little sweet, different type of taste to it in a good way - I very much enjoyed it. However, I do think it is a bit on the pricier side since the size is quite small for it being $7 and some change. They also did not put any sesame seeds on the top as illustrated in some of the pictures online. When they place your drink on the counter, you have to go to the side and put a lid on it. There, you will also find water.

I came here on a Sunday and it was packed. The line wrapped to the front of the business although it wasn't very long before I had reached the front. The baristas worked together very well as many drinks came out in a timely manner and the bar (where you pick up drinks) was cleared out constantly. They don't ignore you when you go to pick it up and say your thanks. I ordered the Iced Orange Dream with Whole Milk, $6. Great price for a specialty latte. I picked mine up so fast, the guy didn't have enough time to put the dehydrated orange slice on top so he hand delivered it to me. Ha, he didn't have to do it but he did and it was funny (I had already added the lid onto my drink so I was just holding the orange slice for a bit). The space where the lids, napkins, sugars were was small but well organized as they had trash cans on the side to keep it clean. There was plenty of seating inside and outside. I would most def come here again! If you order 'for here' they will serve in real glassware/ceramic and you can take your time and enjoy!

This is a bona fide coffee shop! You can tell by the staff and the pace that it’s artisanal coffee. The cafe is spacious, located in a really cool old building with an art gallery next door and a zine stand inside. There’s also an outdoor section, so jt’s likely to find seating and parking isn’t hard. However there are no outlets, but there is good wifi. I ordered the sesame latte with oat milk and didn’t taste much besides the oat milk unfortunately. My friend got the pourover and the guava cheese turnover and said both were really good and that the sesame flavor would come out more if I had gotten the iced latte. My other friend got the orange dream and said, similar to mine, that it was a subtle orange flavor and more of a vanilla latte. If you want to taste the coffee, go for black coffee. We all think there should be more food options; there’s only light pastries.

Truly the most thoughtful, kind people work here. I’d gotten beans from Provecho before and was very impressed by the quality of the roast. And I happened to be in town again this week and stopped by to try their coffee in house. It was warm out so I got a matcha and a pastry (both of which were delicious). The line was long but it moved quickly and the staff was so kind. They really treated everyone with so much attention and had thoughtful, intentional things to say to everyone. Giving more detail about the pastries or asking people about their day or what they were wearing. Having that connection feels somewhat rare these days and just the little interactions I had with the people working here really made my afternoon. It felt like a place I could slow down and enjoy a book or some good conversation. I will definitely be visiting again and I will absolutely be recommending this place to all my San Diego friends...
