I was excited to stay at parc suites because it's in a nice quiet neighborhood and only a mile away from gas lamp quarters. The place was cute but I was extremely upset that the bed was so small (full) which is not big enough for two tall adults. The room is kept cool buy a very VERY loud ac unit that is HUGE for a very tiny room. It's placed directly next to the bed. I was happy that there was at least a flat screen tv mounted on the wall in front of our tiny bed.
The room was listed as "Luxury suite with balcony" but really it was just a small tiny kitchen, and even smaller bedroom. It's a section of the basement. You just go around the side of the house down some stairs. so the "balcony" was really just ground level with two chairs posted directly in front of a brick wall. L O L. Mind you its in front of 3 other customers front door and 5 feet away from other customers window. We're told to be quiet so why would you put chairs in front of others window?? Doesn't matter because I'm still laughing at the word "balcony" being used.
I did appreciate the lock pad on our door. It was easy to remember and we didn't need to worry about a key.
my BIGGEST BIGGEST BIGGEST issue was the $76 cleaning fee. The place is already expensive as it is, but they added a cleaning fee for the little tiny room. I know a real cleaning service probably only charges $20 for the amount of square feet. mind you they ask that YOU CLEAN before you leave. I'm talking do the dishes, dry the dishes, clean the counters, take out the trash. Basically make sure there is no trail of your existence.. oh and also charge you a boat load for 'cleaning'.
I could move past the small bed but the cleaning fee was way too ridiculous on top of the strict clean after yourself rule. I rather have stayed at a hotel. At least there's a bar/ restaurant downstairs and you'd be in the heart of the city for the same...
Read moreI have had the pleasure of staying at Parc Suites since 2020-1 (3-4 years) and each and every time has been wonderful. Kelly and her staff are marvelous, the apartments are clean and organized with so many complementary items it would be hard to list. The occupancy directions are clear and easy to work with. Perhaps unique to my situation that many potential clients may find useful is that I have stayed at all three of her properties and about 8 different units. It is remarkable but each unit had the same high quality of care and cleanliness. I do not have a faorite place among the three. The two downtown places are an easy mile walk to the Gaslamp and maybe 1.3 to the Embarcadero. Downtown also positions you to get to Coronado quickly. There is plenty of local chopping and, of course, you are about 1.3 mi to the south end of Balboa Park. Both the K street and 22nd street apartments have plenty of street parking in addition to that offered at the apartment units. The Pacific Beach apartments on Beryl are about 1.5 miles south or west to either the Bay and ocean, so quite convenient for walks, jogs, biking, etc. Each apartment there was very nice especially with swimming pool and laundry available. Grac store is close - maybe half-mile and plenty of restaurants. In terms of cost, I also stayed at two diff extended stay places and one was cheaper (a mini studio) and one bdrm more expensive butneither was the quality, cleaniness, low cost or huge number of extras offered by Parc Suites. I usually stay from 1-4 months so if that or longer stay is in your plan, absolutely consider Parc Suites. My job may be done, but my wife and I will be coming back for fun and try to stay here!! Overall, Parc Suites is the best deal in SD overall. Highest...
Read moreKelly was very rude to me from the very beginning. I was calling and she denied my call but text and she me later. When she did call she told me she was busy and would call me later or the next day and didn't call until a couple of days later. I explained to her that I was calling in reference to an advertisement I seen stating there were several availabilities and the pricing. She stated the pricing was inaccurate, regardless of the price for the dates, the price was higher, then she said it was more if it was me and my spouse even if he worked majority of the time. Then she said there was no availability either way to call back closer to when I needed the unit. She said she could place me on a list in case there were any cancellations. I figured okay maybe she is just having a bad day. Well she called and then when I called her back and she began speaking with me at first she was nice then she said oh so you are in the military and the rudeness began again. I would never stay here, neither would I recommend. I had a friend of mine call who asked questions about military before stating she was military and responses were not very kind. Although I would never take away the beauty of the place and the fact that the other staff may be very kind, first impression is lasting and the interaction with Kelly was extremely lasting and not very positive at all. I feel I was discriminated against and disrespected to...
