R Place Bar & Eatery — Restaurant in San Diego

First of all, I wanna say how cute this place is .... The atmosphere gives sexy and cute and the bathrooms were super clean (cause we know Hillcrest 😆🤣😂). The food though OOOOOOMMMMGGGG!!!! The sliders with fries was soooo yummy . The Ahi salad with the orange dressing was perfect but the servings was HUGE!!! But baby..... THE WINGS HONEY.... (LEMON PEPPER AND SWEET 🌶 CHILLI 🌶) hands down is WAY BETTER THEN WING STOP!!!! Last but not least DAVE thank you for SUCH A AMAZING EXPERIENCE ❤️ 👏🏽 🙌 💙 💜 👍 You were so friendly and patient and the drinks was bomb 😊 😀 ❤️. Just a few suggestions though (ready) maybe have a few fundraisers for our community (maybe reach out to The LGBTQ RESOURCE CENTER IN OCEANSIDE CALIFORNIA) they really bring the dolls and the people to anything they do .... Or maybe BINGO night with the Queens ... Anyway I'll be back for sure for the food and the service !!!...

Went here on PRIDE the patrons were AMAZING. Really great. The security guard was fantastic, really professional and still friendly this was Saturday @ like midnight. The bar service was … well it was really bad. To the point where everyone was talking about it, shocking. They clearly only wanted to serve beer. Any shot or drink requested was a huge hassle. One group mentioned it looked like they just hired guys who used to be buff and huge in their prime and all (a word I won’t use) as bar backs for some sort of aesthetic. Could be, don’t know I wasn’t there for the aesthetic of the bar tenders but they did all seem …affected. It’s important to note EVERY other service experience during Pride was top notch - so this really stood out. Wouldn’t have paid a cover for a beer only joint, but left because I have a spare $10 and so do my friends to preserve the vibe of...

New to the area and checked out R Place, such a solid spot! First person we met was Hallo (like Hallow) super chill and welcoming. She showed us where to order and even offered to take our picture. Loved the energy right away.

Now the drinks... whew! Tito's vodka was strong and done right. We also ordered an appetizers, great portions and full of flavor.

At first, we sat up front by the entrance/street, but here's a tip: walk all the way to the back. It's massive back there, long bar, more tables, and a really beautiful setup. Totally didn't expect that. If you appreciate privacy this is it.

Shoutout to Hallo for the amazing welcome, and to the short king with the dark beard behind the bar your drinks were fire! Service overall was on point. Definitely...
