BCB Cafe in Hillcrest is an amazing coffee shop with delicious food items. I've only been to BCB carts at SDSU and their coffee is amazing, so I've been wanting to check out this location for a while. It's even better, because the food options are extensive. It's located in a plaza so parking is easy, but come early. This place gets crowded.
I ordered the 5th Avenue melt on a croissant. It comes with turkey, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, and cheese. The way they prepared it was delicious. The croissant was flaky and crispy. The cheese was melted perfectly. I definitely recommend ordering this one!
I got the Dulce De Leche coffee with almond milk which is a favorite of mine. The Madagascar Vanilla is good too!
Simple interior. There is some seating indoors and outdoors. When we came, line wasn't too bad, but as we left around 9:45AM, the place was packed and people were standing with their coffees and food outside. Service is incredibly friendly. You order where the bagels are and a worker writes down your order which you then hand to...
Read moreI usually don’t leave reviews of any kind for any business, but today I had to. I like to order food every Friday for my employees and sometimes clients and this Friday was no different. I have had issues with bcb in the past not getting my orders right but I decided to give them another chance. I ordered 10 breakfast sandwiches for about 75 dollars through uber eats. The driver shows up with one sandwich and I ask him what happened. Apparently they had only made the one and sent the poor uber driver here to face me and 8 hungry contractors. Now all of this is fine and I didn’t mind because Brandon the uber driver said he would drive back and pick them up. I tried contacting bcb and tried getting ahold of someone in the shop and no one answered. I called back at least 6 times and the phone wasn’t answered once. I ended up cancelling the whole order and ordered food from a restaurant that answers their phone. By the time he got back to your store all my clients had left, and BCB had just started making the other 9 sandwiches. Thanks...
Read moreI love my sandwiches and for my first time there, I was not at all impressed. The lackluster of my sandwich made me mad and the price of my blandwich, just tipped the cow with me. The bread was like eating wheat straight from the field and it was clear the person, making the sandwich hated their job. If I was making a sandwich for a company I would make it the way I make them at home, happy and filled with love, not just putting a blip of mayo on it like your trying to make the jar last for a month. The only thing that made me happy was the pickle. The attitude of the staff was nice too but they should research their food as well instead of telling people how good it is, I think that their taste receptors need to be fixed or honed. They bragged about their tea as well, I enjoy my tea's alot and when I drank this tea. The first ship was good, then it turned in to a 80's Avon perfume but enough about that I will really think twice before I go back into that place maybe it was an off day? But I'm sure I...
