Starbucks — Restaurant in San Diego

I order through Starbucks app for my wife as this location is on the way to her work. In the mornings it can get pretty busy. I usually will order 8-10 minutes before my wife arrives at the store. Sometimes the app doesn't accept mobile orders.

One time last year 2021, I ordered a drink and after about 10 mins of waiting I asked them to check if they had the order. Immediately they checked and apologized that they missed it..or maybe the mobile app was just being funny. They kindly apologized then made my drink priority and I got in like a minute, and they gave me a free drink voucher! Thank you!

Today, mother's day 2022 I did a mobile order for my wife when she was on her way to work at the salon. After she got there and waited 10 mins(total 18-20 minutes since mobile order placed) she asked the barista to check on her order. The barista, her name is REN, responds with something along the lines of "I'm not in charge of espresso" and walks away to do something else. My wife a little confused now waits until another worker approaches, then asks him about her espresso. As my wife is asking the other worker, REN walks up and cuts off my wife and says something along the lines of " mam I already told you if you don't want to wait, or you're not happy you can go to the cashier and get a refund." Now my wife is really confused and doesn't know what to say. The other worker quickly checks for the espresso, apologizes that they missed it and made her drink first right away.

to start off, baristas nice as always. they are not the problem.

been going here for about 2 years now. its near multiple schools and lots of people from school come here as a meeting place. the new remodel has absolutely no seating or outlets. i would regularly come here to study, as many of my peers did. there were a few things (putting uncomfortable seating near about half of the outlets, instead of uncomfortable seating away from outlets) but overall i liked it.

the new remodel takes all of that away. not only are there no outlets (?!) there is also no seating. there is a library just a few minutes away, i would recommend going there instead. please no more remodels like this, people love coffee shops for a reason. there is absolutely no reason to come here. there is a vons with a starbucks inside right next door. i would think it would be good for delivery, but not a...

Dear Starbucks,

I recently ordered a cappuccino—traditionally a simple drink prepared with the golden ratio of 1:1:1 espresso, milk, and foam. Unfortunately, the drink I received contained so much milk that it resembled a latte macchiato—mostly milk with very little coffee flavor.

What’s more concerning is that this has not been an isolated incident. Out of my last ten visits, I’ve had to return my drink on three separate occasions. While the baristas have always been kind enough to remake it, the inconsistency suggests that there is no clear standard being followed. At times, it feels like the outcome depends on chance rather than consistency.
