I’m so glad I found this cute tea shop near Mira Mesa. The interior design is simple and lovely. You can really taste the tea flavor in drinks here! I have a light tongue for sweetness so I always get my drinks at 25-30% sugar level and here they taste perfectly to my liking. The Fruit Melody is my all time favorite. They use fresh fruits so the flavor is very refreshing and nice. My second favorite is Tie Guan Yin milk tea. It’s my first time come across different types of tea other than jasmine, oolong, and black tea, so it was good experience to taste the variety and know which one I like the most. Flower milk tea is also nice, it has a light, subtle floral flavor for those who don’t want tea that is so strong. Kumquat winter melon tea is a great non-caffeinated drink. Super refreshing and cooling. And the best part is that the boba pearls don’t become harden after being in cold iced drinks for 10-15 minutes!!! That’s a big deal for boba lovers like me because I don’t have to rush to inhale my drink in 5 minutes to still be able to enjoy the soft chewy boba pearls. I will be this store’s loyal...

How to put less than one star? I ordered 4 drinks and they only gave me 3 at first so I thought they were still making the last one. The worker handed me the last drink and said have a good day. I left the shop and right before I entered my car 2 of the workers come sprinting out accusing me of stealing a drink. They said I only ordered 3 and took it for my hands and went inside. Never coming back here again.

As a follow up, my daughter and I both thought we ordered 4 drinks and when the staff came running out and grabbed the drink they offered no explanation or offered to fix the situation until I went back in and asked because I was confused about the whole situation. They glared at us like we stole a drink, acted like we knew what we were doing and left a very bad impression. Terrible...

I tried their roasted brown rice boba milk tea, and it was absolutely fantastic! The tea has a wonderfully smooth, nutty flavor with a subtle roasted aroma that is simply divine. The boba was perfectly chewy, and the combination with the roasted brown rice milk tea was a match made in heaven. The staff at BoBaPoP were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure I had a great experience. They even gave me some recommendations on other drinks to try next time.
