UPDATED 7/30/24: While I did not ask for it, the restaurant chose to refund the cost to me. And since it wasn't discussed, I must assume it was the original review that prompted this refund. It is because of this attempt to make amends that I am willing to change my negative rating to neutral. To be clear, I am doing this on my own and not at their request.

Not this time! Overall, this was a negative experience. Details below.

I ordered using the QR code at my table, as usual. After longer than normal wait (25 minutes), I got a text that said my order was ready for PICK UP. But the actual order conf says it would be delivered to my table. So I waited another 10 minutes and it still had not been delivered.

I finally went into their site and could see my order bagged up at the delivery counter. But I had to wait for the solo guy working the counter to serve the 3 people in front of me in the line. Meanwhile, another of their staff brought food to two tables inside their store.

Because I had my dog with me, I waited just inside the store door. After the line at the counter cleared, he didn't look up to see me waiting but instead started filling water bottles. It was only when I walked to the counter that he looked up, saw me, and looked at the delivery order that he changed his routine. (IMO, he should have first looked for any table delivery before filling water bottles.) I had to ask him then if that order was for my table. He confirm it was. So I took it.

He didn't apologize but made an excuse that they suddenly were very busy. (Seeing another staff person deliver food tp tables in the store while I was waiting in line negates his "excuse".)

Oh my goodness this place is so good! They make their tacos with lots of thought and attention to detail with such well thought out and balanced flavors!! I walked in and ordered the Dorado Fish Taco and the New Yorker with a side of guacamole. The owner took my order and helped me decide what I wanted, being very patient with me while I decided on my order. While I waited, he gave me a cup of water and a gorgeous bottle of water that was so good! The decor inside was aesthetically pleasing and inviting.

The Dorado fish taco was cooked perfectly with a delicate crisp giving the taco texture but not making it painful to eat like some fried fish tacos can be. It had fresh red cabbage and cucumbers with a grilled lemon on the side that squeezed out lemon juice perfectly when I ate it! The New Yorker was a perfectly cooked steak with a very nice and spicy poblano salsa on top. And the blue corn tortillas were perfect! I haven’t had blue corn tortillas since I was 12 years old stoping on the side of the road in Mexico City at a ranch restaurant in the middle of nowhere where to eat tacos.. Yes these blue corn tortillas brought me back like that! The guacamole was perfectly textured, creamy and complimented my tacos so well!
