As you can see on my review, it went from "really good" to "really bad" - really quick! I've gone here many times the past few years but it seems recently, there's been a change in staff because over-all, it isn't as good as it used to be. And this ranges from the cooks/chefs to the waiters/waitresses.
My gripe: I've always ordered the Tonkatsu (Bento) which was FANtastic! The last two times I ordered it, it was cooked different and it also wasn't cooked thoroughly (dangerous for pork, especially!) Big disappointment when the meat had no flavor, not to mention the batter was falling off the meat.
For everyone else: For some reason, they just can't seem to get it right? The past half a dozen times I've been there, no matter what time of day it is - they take FORever! Whether it's taking your order, getting your drinks, your soup, etc. But when it comes to getting your food, it seems to take an eternity. I look around and other people are also sitting there "looking around" like, "Um, what's going on?" And everyone jumps up at the same time when a waitress comes around with food, hoping it's theirs. I.E. During our 1 hour lunch break, we spent the first 30 minutes drinking water and eating our miso soup (Good thing we were on a good talking subject!) and got our food at 20 minutes until the hour, so needless to say, we had to scarf down our food. NOT good.
I hope somehow the owners read this review and make some changes because I really don't like saying bad things about anything, this is more for constructive purposes. I can honestly say that this place, if improved upon, can...

The complimentary welcome salad was very good, enough portion to cleanse the pallet and not to fill us up and it had chucks of fish in it.
For starter we got the deep fried oysters and didn’t quite look like what I expected. It was good but it’s heavier than any other oyster and it’s not served on the shell.
The Todo Roll, that has tomato and onions on it, is tastier than it should be so my compliments to the chef and I highly recommend to everyone to try.
The JoJo Roll with the thin slice of lemon was very refreshing and fresh. The lemon added the much needed acidic flavor to the fresh and simple complex of salmon sushi.
Awesome roll was ok but our least favorite. It had way too much flavor and different texture that kinda lost its purpose.
The torched salmon roll is what the awesome roll should have been. Perfect texture, great complex and just enough flavor. So if you’re thinking about Awesome roll I highly recommend getting this...
Read moreYou absolutely must try Todo Sushi. I've gone to Todo's since I was 9 years old with my family. I am 23 years old now, and I still go with my friends!
Dusty's Details:
Most of their rolls are 50% off, but make sure you don't confuse regular rolls with "hand rolls," which look like cones of seaweed. Even if you get takeout, the discount is still 40% which is great. It is SO affordable, coming from a broke high school student and still broke college student. There is outside and inside seating. An insider tip is that if you sit at the bar, they usually surprise their guests with a free little mystery appetizer (Jalapeno poppers, two pieces of sushi, a salad).
I would recommend the: Salmon Skin Tempura Roll Sensual Pleasure Roll Sweet Hawaiian Roll Deep fried California Roll Spicy Tuna Roll Cucumber Roll (Idk what it is about this roll but I love it)
If you have friends that don't like fish or sushi no worries! They have pretty yummy fried rice, meat and rice dishes, and noodle dishes. Come to Todo's and you might even...
