Chef Li's Cafe Hk B.B.Q — Restaurant in San Francisco

I was visiting the outer Hunters Point area of San Bruno Avenue and Bacon Street and decided to visit this new Chinese restaurant. The restaurant offers both dine in table hot pot as well as take out which was my choice. I chose the pan fried noodles with vegetables and i am pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the freshly tasting noodles and crunchy snappy vegetables. The price is comparable to other Chinese restaurants. The restaurant is very clean 5 stars for cleasiness and detail. There are rumors the staff from the defunct Wing Hing restaurant down the street are now working here. I came here to see if that was true. Nope, I didn't see anyone I recognize. Maybe they are working another shift. I noticed Chef Li's awning changed their Chinese name from 好滋味 to 永興 (Wing Hing). That can't be a coincidence right? My sentiments remain the same. Hopefully the nice people from Wing Hing all landed a new job or have retired.

This place is a great choice for hot pot. The soup bases are fairly basic and nothing to write home about, but the unlimited meat menu and the veggie and soup meat bar is amazing! I've never been to a hot pot place where you can walk up to a small cold bar and grab your fishcakes, Napa cabbage, mushrooms and beef balls. I LOVE IT!
