Consistently good ramen here; their broths are delicious and comforting! Only one or two reliable vegan options but they will try and accommodate modification/substitution requests. The Tan Tan noodle soup *can* be ordered with tofu instead of pork but it'll still be a pork-based broth- an excellent choice by the way for meat-eaters. The spicy miso tofu ramen is our favorite vegan option (ask for soy tofu not the egg stuff). Also best to sub the regular ramen noodles for soba noodles if you're looking to limit cholesterol. Word of advice: ask them to NOT include the shredded fried potato-string-nest in the soup because it makes it way too starchy and greasy (they're best enjoyed as a nice snack on the side). Pumpkin croquettes are worth a try here! Very cramped dining area, avoid coming after 4pm on weekends because you’ll have to wait forever for a table. Service is decent but can be super slow at times.

We were attracted by the creativity of the menu - wouldn’t expect to see lamb skewers on the ramen anywhere else, as much as coconut in the soup base - but turned out to be pretty delicious! It was a bit hard to tell what the ramen would taste like, despite all the ingredients listed in the menu - hope this review helps resolve two of the mysteries. The Jaeger came with the lamb skewers and the soup was doubtless Japanese curry flavor - you also got the carrots and potatoes :) The K. O. was a traditional tonkatsu ramen as described - very rich pork bone soup that was surprisingly not salty, so satisfying sipping it, and the meat was decently tender. P.S. The restaurant was relatively small so could be a bit of wait during peak time.

Went in after a long day of activities around the city and I’m very lucky to have stumbled upon this place. We came in with our child sleeping, right off the bad the employee was very accommodating to us. I ordered an order of dumplings but to my surprise it came with sauces and a type of chili oil on top of it. usually I would eat it but since it was for my baby I was just gonna take it off with the napkin and the employee noticed what I was doing and she offered to make a new order without the sauces. Very kind of her to do that for us. Will be coming here because apart from great customer service their ramen was very flavorful and delicious.

DO NOT EVER EAT HERE*I don't think I've ever written a yelp review. The food was pretty good I'll say that. HOWEVER, I came in at 9:25pm, they close at 10pm and the waitress made that very clear from the gate. We order right away and got the food quickly. As we're eating the employees start stacking all the chair on the table, mind you the tables are very close together. Then they start mopping around us. I've worked in the food industry for a while and this is a sign for people to leave because the restaurant is closed. When this took place it was 9:45pm. So I kindly ask, hey are you guys closing up, should we just take this to go. A man named "Justin" (pretty sure he gave a fake name) who was not working but clearly had something to do with the restaurant started talking to me in an absurdly volatile manner, completely verbally attacking me. Seriously I cannot express this enough, I have not been talked to like that in a very long time. I have never in my received this treatment in a restaurant. ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, this man literally made me cry. our waitress named "Emily" not sure if she gave us her real name, she basically sat there and let the unwell man speak to us as he was in the depth of a temper tantrum. "Justin" continued to try and instigate a response from me, after I asked him to please stop speaking to me, so naturally in this day and age I start recording him. And of course he stops insulting me. The video is on their yelp (unable to post videos on here) page so you can see the man and the waitress, and it pretty much speaks for itself. "Emily" makes us close out and all she said to me was "you don't have to tip". No “sorry about that” nothing at all. The food was great, the service was seriously the worst I've ever experienced. I've been working in restaurants for over 10 years and I'm honestly appalled and disappointed in how employees treat their customers. Especially when you've don't nothing but enjoy the food, respect their time, and pay them for it. So for me they are a disgrace to society, so if you eat here understand who you are supporting. I hope “Justin” finds the help he needs because he is clearly...

I come to this restaurant so many times, and this restaurant is a memory for me and my boyfriend. He brought me here on our first date. Today is our 2 years anniversary, so we decided to go to the restaurant that is meaningful for us.

We ordered on the Uber eats to pick up, however when we arrived, the lady told us that someone already picked up our order! We doubled check our Uber eats app, and it says it is a “pick up” order instead of “delivery” order. They end up find out that there were two people having the same name. We end up have to wait for them to redo the order, and we were so hungry that we feel dizzy. Even people have the same name, they probably have different last name. Also it is clearly that the other person who has the same name with my boyfriend call them to order instead of ordering on the Uber eat. The reason why I find out is the other order has a hand written ticket. The uber eats ticket usually print out directly from the ticket machine. If I’m a customer and I can tell the difference, why can’t their staff find out the difference?

This isn’t the first time they messed up our order. There was one time we were sitting in the restaurant waiting for our order forever! The table who came later than us already got their order and finished eating it. The lady found out that she didn’t put the order in the system when I asked her. It is so funny that she didn’t find out until I ask for it because we were sitting right in front of the cashier. She did not realize that there is no food on our table? Since we were too hungry, my boyfriend talked to the lady at the cashier saying that it is taking too long, we are leaving. The lady in the cashier answered “ok” like she doesn’t care at all.

This is the horrible experience! I come back because of the food is good. If the owner see my comment, it will be amazing if you find someone who doesn’t mess up the order, or please train your...

4/5 Stars in 2017: Kaiju has definitely improved on food and service. Fusion ramen was pretty good, especially for a neighborhood joint. Prices seem high, but reasonable considering ingredients and the size of each bowl. Happy hour deals look good too.

2/5 Stars in 2015: Perhaps it was just bad timing and too high of expectations, but I came here and had a less than mediocre experience. Came here on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm by myself with no lines and no wait. Having heard that the fusion ramen was amazing, and seeing as the weather was a drizzly, I was more than ecstatic to try this place. Unfortunately, according to the staff, they ran out of many if the seafood and their shipment had not arrived yet, so there were no oysters, no uni, and no crab or lobster for the lobster tail and crab leg ramen. After all of my top choices were shot down, I opted for the Wasabi Chirashi, made tempting by their facebook cover photo. Unfortunately, since there was a lack of seafood, my chirashi had a few missing ingredients. The fish didn't seem too fresh, but by this point, my tummy was too hungry to argue with my brain. About half way through my meal, the kind waitress remembered she didn't serve me any tea or water, even though the place didn't get any busier after I had arrived.

Overall, meal was mediocre, though my disappointment may be heavily biased on my eagerness to try the ramen here... I'll give this place another try perhaps, though probably not anytime in the...
