Rooster & Rice — Restaurant in San Francisco

I guess my hopes were too high for this concept. Nice modern amenities such as app/online ordering, customization and even catering makes this a no brainer choice if you're eating healthy and you don't feel like cooking. Unfortunately as someone who's actually been to Asia and had the real deal, this isn't going to cut it. I needed more flavor in the chicken broth rice and for the chicken itself to be less dried out. While I'm not nearly as gluttonous as I used to be, I still found the portions to be on the tiny side. For the price I envisioned it to be 10-20% larger or at least give me a little more foundational rice to fill the gap. For Roster and Rice - Stanyan location. I had bad experiences here. First time, when I paid the to-go order with no tip, the staff showed some bad reactions/attitudes. I thought I was a little sensitive, so I gave it a second try. On the second try, I ordered a few to-go orders of the Original without tip again to see if I got the same treatment, but got all skinless options. Now I'm not surprised why this location is rated lower than the other locations. Never want to try it again.
