I treated myself to a solo lunch and sat at the counter close to the sushi chef. This is a local owned sushi restaurant run by a Korean couple so some items off the hot menu are Korean inspired. I felt that the menu itself is a bit pricey, so this is a low 4. For the sashimi combo I received three slices of salmon, two hamachi, and three tuna. The cuts of sashimi were rather thick so I appreciated that. My favorite was the tuna followed by the hamachi. Perilla leaves were used for plating but I really enjoyed pairing it with the hamachi and tuna. I thought the wasabi and ginger were great quality and finished all my ginger. The goma-ae was simple and very bonito forward which I enjoyed. Lastly, the saba nigiri was okay, but perhaps I would get a different nigiri next time. The service was okay, nothing standout. Given that I sat at the counter and alone, I expected more conversation but we didn’t have many exchanges.

I went here just to try the Jalapeños Bombs, I guess I should have just stopped there, but I didn't. So I get dropped off and there is no sign anywhere except an open sign. I go inside and almost left right there, the chef was sitting in the corner no customers, 2 waitresses one sitting the other standing by register. I asked to see a menu, then went and looked at the fish in the display. As a Chef I know what to look for for bad signs of fish., it all looked fresh as I was waiting 2 couples came in so I decided to stay. Jalapeños bombs were great, the fire bomb not so much and the Bay Bridge was pretty good. Service was slow, it's had to get her attention to order, the other waitress was a little better. Most likely won't be back

Went for an early-ish lunch on a Saturday. Food was excellent with good value for the $. We split some rolls and appetizers and were stuffed. Need to come back and try out their specials for their fresh fish, but what we had was plenty tasty. Place was relatively empty when we arrived but slowly started to fill. It's a modern, clean setup inside - chill for families, cozy enough for a night out meal too. Will definitely be back!

Came across this restaurant and decided to just walk in without reading any reviews (which are surprisingly positive) and got the $16 Lion King roll. There is no sit down eating at the restaurant so the roll came in a to go box lined with tin foil. Such an expensive roll for something so tiny, and there was about 2 tablespoons of oil sitting at the bottom of the box. I was about halfway done with the roll when I noticed it. It made me sick to my stomach just looking at it. I’m not sure what would have caused so much oil from a tiny 8 piece roll. Wish I got pictures so I could get a refund. DON’T GET THE OVERPRICED ROLLS...
