The Cornmeal Crust Pizza is a must try. As a Pizza elitist, the Corn Meal Crust Pizza with Black Olives was my go to from 2008 - 2010, which I ordered over 20 times. In 2022, a mere 12 years from last possible eating of this Pizza I try it again. This time plain cheese. Phenomenal.

Review II - Detroit Style
I wrote this message to the restaurant,
"I LOVE your Cornmeal Crust Pizza, so I tried this because of that and because I am currently trying all Detroit Pizza in San Francisco. I was surprised you guys have Detroit Style. I just want to say, I hope you will improve your Detroit Style. Your Cornmeal Crust is one of my favorite Pizzas after trying 65 Pizza Places in San Francisco alone. I am enjoying your Detroit because I love you guys but it is the lowest quality Detroit Style I have tried in San Francisco objectively. Please try Cellermaker House of Pizza to understand. I want you to win."
I will have to do a more in depth review of this entire place soon now. The Detroit Style here is like a Focaccia. I think you guys should learn how to make Detroit Style before you try to sell something that you consider to be it. I don't think you need to even sell this. It's distracting from the good stuff you can do. This probably should be taken off the Menu until you guys have educated yourselves on Detroit Style. Here are good places to go to learn: Cellarmaker House of PIzza, Joyride, Pizza Sqaured, Sunset Squares & Square Pie Guys - basically everyone else who makes Detroit Style in the City besides you guys.
Cornmeal Crust = Exalted Must Try Pizza in San Francisco. One Bite Pizza style score 7.1/10 Detroit Style = Pretty much is not Detroit Style at all. One Bite Pizza style...
Read moreLooking for restaurant that has a pretty diverse tasty menu that will satisfy your entire party's dietary requirements at a reasonable price? Mozzarella Di Bufala is your place.
We come here to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions. Yesterday, we had Mother's Day dinner in Di Bufala's party room yesterday with my family of 13. We ordered 3 salads (Bay Shrimp Salad, Spinach Bacon Salad, Caesar Salad), 2 orders of steamed mussels in a Marinara sauce with 2 baskets of french fries, 1 order of Meat Ravioli with Marinara sauce, 2 orders of toasted garlic bread, 2 of their famous cornmeal crusted 14 inch pizzas (Italian and Di Bufala's) and 1 thin crust 16 inch pizza (gooey Di Bufala's) with a Chicken Marsala dinner for a low carb, high protein eater. We drank pitchers of root beer and diet Coke.
We sat in Di Bufala's Party Room for 30 which was pretty much ours for the first 2 hrs which was really nice. During Friday and Saturday nights Di Bufala does not take reservations for the Party Room. First come first serve. So, we came for dinner at 4:30 pm. Service was attentive. Time flew by. They would come back and check in with us throughout the 3 hrs we were there.
Di Bufala was "ok" with us bringing in our Mother's Day cake for dessert and served our cake on a pizza stand. They provided us with plates, dessert forks and a pie cutting server as we topped off with their coffees or hot teas.
Metered street parking till 6 pm. Lucky to find metered parking quickly because it can be really difficult to find parking in West Portal during...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about this Italian-Brazilian fusion restaurant! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, inviting energy that sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The ambiance is the perfect balance of stylish and cozy, making it a great spot for a date night, a gathering with friends, or even a solo indulgence.
Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely incredible! The fusion of rich Italian flavors with the bold, vibrant essence of Brazilian cuisine is executed to perfection. The handmade pastas have the perfect bite, and the sauces are bursting with depth and authenticity. Their take on Brazilian churrasco with an Italian twist was a revelation, and the pão de queijo served alongside a creamy burrata was the kind of genius pairing that leaves you craving more.
The cocktails are just as impressive as the food—creative, balanced, and packed with fresh ingredients that perfectly complement the dishes. Whether you’re sipping on a passionfruit caipirinha or an espresso martini with a Brazilian flair, you’re in for a treat.
The service was outstanding—attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. It’s clear that this restaurant is run by people who love what they do, and it shows in every detail.
If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s equal parts exciting, comforting, and unforgettable, this is the place. I’ll definitely be...
