Sushi Sheng 鮨昇 — Restaurant in San Francisco

I recently sashimi-self into an omakase experience, and let me tell you, it was a reel catch! This place is a true fishionista’s dream. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a fin-tastic time.

The chef was truly a sushi-savant, crafting each dish with eel-egance and a side of roe-mance. Every bite was a-maize-ing, from the uni-que sea urchin to the oishii toro that had me hooked from the start. It was like the chef had a sixth sense for finding the most unagi-ceptable ingredients.

Let’s taco ’bout the ambiance—this place was soy cool! The minimalist decor really let the food shine, and the staff was on a roll with their service. They were so attentive, I almost tempura-ed up with gratitude.

And the dessert? Donut even get me started! The mochi was so good, it made me want to shrimply dance with joy.

If you’re looking for an eels-cellent omakase experience that won’t leave you feeling krill-ed, this is the plaice to be. You’ll leave feeling like the big fish in a small pond. Omakase yourself a favor and swim on over!

I have only been once, but so far it's decent! Sushi was good, no tough seaweed and it was nicely handmade. The miso soup was delicious. The prices are reasonable. There is plenty of seating. I would come back. I'm still trying to find our new K's Kitchen, which was excellent and closed down. I will have to try more creative rolls next time to see if Sushi Sheng can compare.

The only thing I didn't like were all the tvs mounted, but I'm sure sports fans would appreciate it, for me it ruins the atmosphere. Oh and the salmon in the Alaska roll was chewy. The waitress seemed a bit brusque, but she seemed a bit overwhelmed. A good...

This place was legit! The service was very attentive and the food came out incredibly fast. We showed up late, almost closing time and they never made us feel rushed. The food was excellent too! The fish was melt-in-your-mouth fresh and the sushi rice was super flavorful and well-made. Highly recommend the Romeo & Juliet roll! We also ordered the tonkatsu which was fried and breaded to perfection. The chicken karaage left a bit to be desired, but honestly we still ate all of it--it just wasn't the best thing we had there. We will definitely be making this our regular neighborhood sushi spot...
