San Francisco City Walk Recommendation | Potrero Hill

I must say the portion size is large enough to share, you do get your money's worth in that department. But this is the most crabless crab fried rice I've ever had. This is not my first time eating here it has been three and a half years and it tastes like this place has gone downhill drastically. The rice didn't taste like anything and I mean absolutely nothing but rice I didn't taste seasoning or soy sauce I can even taste the vegetables that were in the rice. Then there's the part where it's crab fried rice but there's no crab, I'm sorry but I have to say this place is awful and they only got two stars from me because of the portion size.

A lot of quantity with only a little quality. For the food alone, my experience was three-star. Unfortunately the poor service makes the overall dining experience worse. I ordered the seafood pan-fried noodle dish, but I was served the combination (chicken + veggies + seafood). When I pointed this out to the waiter, he pointed at the three pieces of seafood and told me he had brought me the right dish. PSA: their chicken looks and tastes like rubber. I won’t be coming back unless I’m starved and in desperate need of the highest calorie-per-dollar food in the neighborhood.

I have been going to the Sunflower Restaurant in Potrero Hill for about 7 years. They have consistently provided the best tasting Vietnamese food in town!!!! The quality of their ingredients are excellent and seasoned perfectly!! I have tried about 75% of their items on the menu and have never been.disappointed. at work I would get requests for picking up lunch for everyone and they all loved the food from Sunflower. So we would order at least 3 times per month, if not more. I will definitely be back.

I went again today 03/22 because I hadn't been here in a while. Their food is still delicious!! Leslie the server is one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Truth be told on my last visit to the restaurant I noticed someone who appreared to be inebriated and it turns out he was a friend. As I was attempting to help him into my car Leslie came out and helped me. Who does that these days. People go out of their way to not get involved much less help. Her "going above and beyond" attitude does not dilute. Had a nice experience today when I took my Aunt and Uncle. She made it feel like I was at home. The food and service are a 20!!!!

Today 08/13/22 I was craving curry prawns from this restaurant. My friend and I have been here before and we both agreed we would go have lunch there. It is consistently great service and the food taste fresh. The veggies are perfectly steamed not soggy. The curry prawns is hands down the best I've ever had!! If you like to eat, definitely put Sunflower Potrero Hill on your list of...

Food is weird not authentic Vietnamese. Instead its a combination of generic American canto food and a stereotypical pho shop eats. One star is for the food and service. I didn't appreciate the waitress she was rude told us to go elsewhere after I asked if the pho had other toppings. We had a decent appetizers, egg rolls were bomb, but our mains were disappointing. Our rice plate came luke warm and over cooked. I regret ordering the pho its just bland water with bits of over cooked meat on top. At the end we though there might be a seasonal mango sticky rice dessert. Our waitress told us they don't have it and don't trust everything on their Google page. Apparently people just like to post dessert from other restaurants on here.

Geez...I've never had such an awkward dinning experience on Potrero Hill. Do yourself a favor avoid this location and head to inner sunset or Valencia for...

First this restaurant never open their door. You have to read the menu outside in the cold, order the food through the window then waitress open the door, it's really not very welcoming! We want to dine in not take out, where is the hospitality?! The dining area environment was not great either, there are boxes piled up. We ordered seafood noodle soup and Vietnamese crepe. The soup was terrible, no housemade broth, just plain water and MSG. and they serve the herbs in the zip bag! I was shocked! even when I eat at home I don't eat in a zip bag. If the food was amazing I won't be too picky about the service and experience etc. I don't feel the care and passion of this restaurant owner. Myself is a personal chef, how to present food ,how to welcome guest from your heart and cook with love and care are my deeply concerned. It's one of very rare bad Vietnamese restaurant...
