Review is for food items only, not restaurant.
I've been tempted by the colorful and delicious looking donuts for awhile. Since this location is local, it is a must to drop by and buy some of their snackies.
4 items: heat up the donuts for 5-10 seconds to get the best taste.
PB and Jam donut - I think the jam is the same one they use for the raspberry ball. Great flavor and worth it to try once. The only thing that I didn't like was the raspberry topping on the donut. It breaks the smoothness of the donut bite with something chunky.
Better to share and try once with a friend for half a donut. It's tasty and memorable, but not a repeatable buy unless to share with a friend.
Creme brulee - not really a donut but more a cream puff. Standard custard filling. Worth it try once, but wouldn't buy again. Nothing special.
Taramisu - nothing special and very forgettable donut. Will not buy again
Raspberry ball - the best of the bunch. It oozes a nice raspberry jam that has to be made with real raspberry. You can taste the little seeds. Should be eaten warm....
Read moreI had heard some buzz about Old Ferry Donut, but honestly, I didn't pay much attention—after all, there are countless donut shops out there, most of them similar and overpriced. But then we walked by the shop, and wow, what a charming place! The decor, the vibe, the colors—we just had to check it out. I figured, hey, why not treat myself to one donut, right? Well, I'm so glad I did because their donuts hit all the right spots.
Not overly sweet, with fantastic flavors and a wonderfully fluffy texture, these donuts aren’t too heavy but are just enough to satisfy any sweet tooth. Sure, they’re on the pricier side, but they’re absolutely worth it. We tried the butter pistachio, which was recommended by the store manager, and it's a must-order, period. We also had the tiramisu donut, which featured a delightful mix of chocolate coating and perfect texture.
I can’t wait to go back for another one (or two). Pro tip: their online prices are the same as in-store, so you can easily order ahead and pick up. Happy...
Read moreI love the donuts from Old Ferry. They have a variety of unique donuts that aren't too sweet compared to the normal American standard. I ended up getting the creme brulee and milk cream ball. The milk cream ball was nice and airy, while the creme brulee was delicious with the caramel crackle on top. The donuts are a bit on the pricey side, but worth the cost. The decor of the store is giving vintage 70s modern which is cool. Parking can be hard to find since they share parking with a bunch of other eateries. I just wish there was an eco-friendly way to package the donuts. If you just get one or two donuts it's packaged up in individual boxes. The cashiers are nice to recommend donuts if you’re unsure what to get. I ended up cutting up the box to upcycle it into coasters. Can't wait to come back and try their...
