YU CAKE — Restaurant in San Gabriel

The place is cute and the pastries well presented but the most important part, the pastries are simply tasteless the only overpowering feeling in my mouth was butter! I really wanted to like this place as I was exited with their visuals but unfortunately the taste didn’t follow. The taro mille crepe didn’t taste like taro at all and the tiramisu was so heavy and greasy, way too much heavy cream for not enough cake. I would recommend working more on balancing your recipes...

My mom and I came in the store and there were no greetings from all 3 employees present. Literal silence and it was completely empty. We then asked what’s in a bread we wanted to buy and NO ONE had an answer. Absolutely ridiculous and amusing even. It was not due to a language barrier as we spoke Chinese lol. We purchased a hazelnut crepe cake and the black sesame toast. Both were horrible and expensive. Overall, horrible food and even worse hospitality or non-existent...
