Firehouse Subs — Restaurant in San Jose

This place is so good. I never thought I would eat at Firehouse Subs. Went shopping at Safeway and was really hungry. I decided to try it out, and I can't believe all this time I have been missing out!!! These subs are so delicious. My favorite is the Spicy Cajun Chicken sub and the Jamaican Jerk Turkey. The chili beans, the Mac n cheese, and the chicken noodle and loaded potato are sooooo good. The seating area isn't too big, but each time I have been there, not many people come to dine in. It's been several years since I've been to a Firehouse subs, and boy has it fallin' off. The sandwich was edible but didn't taste good. It had barely any meat, and I'm pretty sure supermarket turkey isn't expensive. Speaking of expensive. It cost over $20 for a pretty small sandwich, small drink, and a bag of chips. The bag had only one ounce of chips!? This place used to have so much charm, and now it's basically an inferior subway. They even got rid of the plethora of hot sauces from all around. Found this place on yelp. Not Many reviews but enough positive review for me to try this place. Employees were very nice and helpful. I got the cheese steak sandwich and it was a good size sandwich. It wasn’t small or too big. Just the right size. All the ingredients were fresh and the bread was so super soft. The drink had plenty of carbonation.
