I ordered the Bulgogi Dog, Nashy Boy, Brisket Sliders, Mozzarella Sticks and chili cheese fries. First off the Mozzarella stick is unique as it is battered with a corn dog like breading and it is very large and served in a stick. You can get a choice of dips, I chose marinara and I would order it again. A solid 8/10. Only reason it didn't score higher was the thickness of the batter. The Brisket sliders were also delicious and a solid 8.5/10. The Bulgogi Dog was also solid. It could have used a little more acid, but I think that is just the nature of having a larger hotdog...I feel like the flavor gets a little lost with size of the Dog, but the over all flavor was good. 8/10. I also tried the Nashy Boy which is a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich topped with pickles and slaw and sauce. The chicken was crisp and the heat was a medium spicy. It was cooked perfectly and made me want more bites. I will definitely be trying to reheat the left overs tomorrow on this sandwich. Solid 9/10. The fries on the other hand were a bit off. First of all they have a Texas Style Chili but add beans which makes the texture and flavor a little odd. They also put the cheese under the chili...which allows it to melt more easily, but when you put the cheese under the chili it also mutes the flavor or the cheese. I could see it had cheese but I literally could not taste it. It had a bit of a burned flavor and would be better if you put hot sauce on it, but on its own it's a 5/10 but the fries were a good price at 6.50 so I'm not mad. Over all I would definitely go back to this restaurant and I can't wait to try their...
Read moreGreat hot dog and great presentation! But that's about it. When all is said and done. At the end of the day it's just a really basic quality type dog with many of toppings to choose from. The company would do way better if they had more competitive prices. The economy is terrible right now . People can't afford to eat out let alone eat basic quality type hot dogs . Give the public more. Get with the times! Let's make a deal ! Keep the prices the same. And with every dog. You at least get a scoop of fries( potatoes cost pennies!!!!) that will make up and allow your customers to look passed paying for a basic hot dog with many of toppings. Bring people in. Cause the day I went. The place was empty. Like Empty empty... That because of the pricing period and end. If y'all can't afford the rent there. Don't take it out on customers . Rethink the whole pricing thang and you guys will make some good money I promise you. But other than that folks. At there prices. Real talk . You'd be just as happy at a Wienerschnitzel and get way more for your dollar. Roses are beautiful and fancy but taste terrible. Presentation is always welcome. At the end of the day it was just a hotdog that was served pretty. Great dogs flavor wise Great toppings Sodas were 100% terrible Service was good Definitely won't be coming back until they come up with a more HONEST menu. Maybe owner ship of this particular spot or store doesn't understand the location and demagraph of people in that particular neighborhood. Y'all need help. Hit me up. I'll make you money! But step it up folks and get them seats filled...
Read moreThis place had been on my list for a bit so I was excited to try it out. Gotta admit, kind of a neutral experience.
The atmosphere's not bad, if a bit automated with the order screen (granted, it was ~8:30pm). Seats are comfortable enough. I ordered the Sonoran (being Sonoran myself) to compare with the hotdogs you can find on Monterey.
Gotta admit, I was a bit disappointed. It comes bacon wrapped and well garnished. The plate appeal is immaculate. It LOOKS delicious. I came with some expectations and still, it looked promising.
First bite was disappointing. The dog itself is good and decently seasoned. But then I tasted honey bacon that wrapped and garnished the dog. It just tasted wrong. Honey bacon itself is delicious in a variety of situations, but it was definitely misplaced on my hot dog.
It was garnished with avocado (iirc), jalapeños, mayo, diced onions, diced tomatoes and diced honey bacon. The bacon overpowered everything else. The jalapeños did not bite, the avocado was unnoticed and there was not nearly enough onion or tomato.
This is not to say it tasted bad, just more bark than bite.
Also had some garlic fries. They're fairly generous with portions, felt like I ate for 20 minutes straight. Washed it down with soda from a glass cup they provide, which I was pleasantly surprised by since I prefer glassware for drinks.
All in all, a decent experience. Will definitely come again and hopefully find a dog on the menu that fits my taste, cause they have plenty of options (and not...
